‘Wink’ is the New Defensive Coordinator

I still don't see a point in switching to a 4-3. Though I think the personnel is there to do it, the Ravens play with enough sub packages and 4 man fronts already that any difference would just be nominal.
The key wouldn't be switching to a 43, that's a moot point damn near considering how much we run 4 down linemen, the key would be a one gap scheme rather than a 2 gap, 2 gap is just outdated in today's NFL

I agree, we’d have so much more penetration in a 1 gap then a two gap. Believe Pags ran alot of 1 gap when he was here. Pees ran some as well, but the majority of the time we are 2 gapping.

Harbaugh said in his presser that whoever comes in as DC is not going to change scheme. So I agree - I'd think we're most definitely staying with the 3-4.

Your defense is awesome but I think this offseason if I were the Ravens I would try to improve that offense. I'm not dissing you guys at all just seeing that the offense needs to improve a little but the rest of your team is fine.
No need to be polite around here Ice. Our offense freaking sucks.

Idk why Mosley couldn't be a MLB and bowser could very well be best suited to play OLB in a 43.
Bowser is like a dream Will/Sam. I actually see Peanut at Will, Mosley at MLB, and Bowser as SAM/3rd down pass rusher as a very viable option. I think Correa would also be better off in a 4-3 than a 3-4. We don't have as far to go as we think if we were to make the change.

Not only that, but letting Judon and Tim williams pin their ears back, letting willie henry and carl Davis rip and shoot gaps, I mean there is a shitload of disruptive potential there. I feel strongly that one of the reasons we never see true star power on defense is because of our scheme, we have a a lot of 1 gap 4-3 talent but we force them out of their comfort zones. Imagine if we ran a 4-3 1 gap last year and we didn't have to worry about tipping our hand because we had a 1 dimensional OLB on the field, we wouldn't have seen Tim Williams dropping in coverage and trying to pursue runs but instead he would be getting to the qb, we wouldn't need to worry about bowser setting the edge and he would be able to blitz and drop and pursue because you dont ask the Will to set the edge in a 4-3. Davis and henry are 1 gap disrupters but they are still asked to maintain gap integrity so often that the only time we see an impact from them is when they go off the cuff after they see an opening.

We have been infamous for putting square pegs in round holes and it tends to take 3 quarters for an offense to figure us out, and once they do our defense turns into a sieve

Wormley is too big for an OLB I believe nor has he played an outside LBer in college I don't think. But he sure can occupy a spot in the front 4 of the 4-3 scheme.

there is always the draft as well to bring in some more youth and speed. first pick or so I think we are going with offense

Yeah yeah. But if you can look at our offensive roster right now and say it doesn’t suck, then you need help lol.
i agree. took the offense 3 months to somewhat turn the corner which is unacceptable plus the slow starts have plagued the team for several years. that is the definiton of an offense that needs help.

i think it depends on what is accomplished via free agency and/or trades regarding how the 1st rd pick is used but remember ozzie is pretty firm with his bpa method. i still cannot believe that they graded correia so high.
