‘Wink’ is the New Defensive Coordinator

you know, when as a head coach, you promote from within and remain the head coach you have to have compliant "promotees"

If you're a head coach that calls a 4th and 12 play over your Defensive Coordinator, just saying, you need a D.C. that isn't willful right?

Harball is an ego that has to have a guy he can "massage". We werent' gonna get a man with conviction were we?

It be great to say......."it could go this way....it could go the other way"......you know to ride the fence and say absolutely nothing, but doesn't it indicate its more Harball? I mean, who hasn't made up their mind on that?
 
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.
Wink might have some fresh ideas and perspective. He deserves a chance. He deserves the benefit of the doubt.
 
Pettine, Pagano, Fangio and other options were available. But that's Harbaugh.
Also I didn't like how they handled the process, there were no indications if they interviewed a guy.
 
So many players have spoken out about Wink and how much they love him. When he was fired from the Broncos Dumervil said he would be a DC again. Go look at the roster the man had. Give him a freaking chance. You people freaking out are ridiculous.

If doing something repeatedly and expecting different results is insanity, then what about practice? Does that mean practice doesn't make perfect?

I’m certainly hoping his one year in Denver when his defense was bad was just due to having no talent.

The truth is, I don't think anyone under normal circumstances are upset over who it is. It's more about the fact we had a wide field to choose from and it doesn't seem like we gave them a look.

And everyone on their high horse can go to hell. This team lucked it's way in the playoffs 1 time since the SB. How about giving the fans a reason to believe they'll turn it around before we give them the benefit of the doubt.

They had champ bailey, Dawkins and Woodyard not too shabby.
The PR department created too much hype saying they'll likely land a top DC with that defense in place
 
@DeVito52 hiring wink is einsteins definition of insanity, using the same methods and expecting different results. This is insanity according to Einstein.
 
I have nothing against the hire per se, its the fact we have a wide open field and haven't appeared to see who was out there. Its a sign they were happy last season with the d and want the status quo

They’ll probably say something like everything was good when we had Jimmy and Brandon and when we lost those two our defense fell apart otherwise it was a good defense. I assume that’ll be their rationale and they’ll point to development of guys like Onuwasor and Orr and Judon as indications of success. I guess this means we’ll draft another CB and a NT high lol

because it keeps happening - that's why people keep saying it

also i enjoy the meta-irony that we all say the same phrase about nothing changing yet literally repeat the exact same phrase over and over as if it will change something
