The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Week 14 Edition

I don't get it. Jefferson was good in coverage in Arizona(yes he was... I watched a fair amount of him as a west coaster). Mosley was good in coverage last season. What has happened to those two?

I think the refs messed up, but if they didnt it seems a stupid rule. Surely the ball rolling out of bounds is the same as a runner stepping out and stopping the clock.

They didnt even review to check it was a fumble vs incomplete
I missed it. I was confused because Joe never actually went down and the ball went out of bounds. I don't understand the rule

Fuck Jeremy Maclin. He was upset he dropped the ball so he made us waste our last timeout. That was so freaking huge. I literally want him deactivated. Fuck him.

Next week if we don’t have Humphrey, Canady, and Hill starting at CB I’m going to be livid (I know Carr will be starting so im already livid)

Pees. What. The. Fuck. Great idea leaving Brown 1v1 you fucking moron. I want him fired for that play alone. Such bull shit.

We literally blitz 6 guys and can’t ever get to the QB. Something needs to change.

Is everyone still gonna be upset with me for saying our defense is overrated?

Can’t imagine what Tom Brady would do to us. Jimmy is gone, and so is any chance of doing anything in the playoffs.

I understand spotting it where it was fumbled because you can't fumble forward, but the rule to wind the clock is dumb.

Trash Carr all you want, at some point you need to realIze shit isn’t working and safety help is needed.

It really isn’t that difficult. We knew going in Carr would get tested, WE ALL knew this.

Question, where was the safety help? Or Marlon switching to Brown who’s a better match you speed wise? SAFETY HELP OVER THE TOP and don’t allow one guy to literally run Free. This game is in pees.

I don’t want to hear it about any other player or the pass rush. Offense scored 38. Enough

mosley was good in coverage to start this year - gotta think its the injuries wearing him down a little but he's definitely regressed - but he also seems to be in man more than earlier in the year - he is lethal when he's dropping into zone and reading the qb

jefferson has been trash in coverage mostly since he came to baltimore - like he legit looks like a waste of money right now so he better buck up

It's how he allows you to call a defense. The Ravens can put him in zero coverage and go to work elsewhere. He changes the entire dynamic of the pass defense.
I think the excuse for Pees on Jimmy's absence is kinda dead to me now. Prior to this year, Jimmy had two season ending injuries, as a DC you have to be more prepared for that. Now while any team out there will suffer through the loss of their star CB, this is really just a bad look for him. I think Big Ben threw 60+ passes so it inflates the number to an extent, but Pees has had multiple attempts to get used to this. It doesn't matter who is out there for us in the secondary, this defense collapses without Jimmy. That kinda separates him from the great DCs. Pees can call a great game and do a great job, but if what you do becomes reliant on Jimmy, then you're going to fall apart because we know he's just not someone you can bet on to stay healthy throughout a 16 game season. Your game plan shouldn't revolve around someone you can't rely upon to stay healthy.

Wouldn't be surprised if Joe threw him into that last one on purpose.
It wasn’t even that bad of a hit and burned a TO. And how the fuck is an NFL receiver not aware of where he is on the sideline? That was most likely a game winner and not that difficult a play. Just catch the fucking ball and step out of bounds. Line up, kick the FG, game over.

we've done better than this vs the steelers in the past without jimmy yet we suddenly have 2 good replacement level corners for the first time and we look worse than we ever have vs this steelers offence - i miss tavon young

Players need to execute, I don't want to excuse them from that because Carr and Mosley was getting torched.
