The Oweh, The INT and THE OMG WE DID IT!!!

I’m fine with this. The way Hollywood is playing, we can afford to let Bateman get 100% healthy. Sammy, besides a couple of drops, has been solid as well. Going to be a huge boost when Rashod comes in

Absolutely no reason to rush Rashod back with the way that both Hollywood and Sammy have been balling so far. Hollywood looks like a legit WR1 and Sammy has been consistently making big plays as well. Also, I would expect Andrews to start breaking out at some point even though teams are clearly doing their absolute best to take him out of the game. Whenever Rashod does come back, this is going to be a very exciting offense to watch as it develops.

Again strictly looking from above, but I’m really impressed by Brandon Stephens. The open field tackling was certainly suspect, but he has the mental down which is kind of crazy for a young guy. The football IQ stands out so much when you see him roam around back there. Very impressive ability to diagnose and change direction. I’m really excited to see how he grows.

he was so quick to come across on that deep shot down the left sideline to the end zone and pick up that deep route that averett passed off to him

I’ve just received word from someone very close to the organization that Bateman is 2-3 weeks away from coming back. Don’t believe me, I understand, but it’s just something I heard. My source is reputable

thats not surprising - that’s around when the schedule suggested he’d be back

Not too surprising. Would still think they’ll start his practice window in the next week or two to get him back into some football action (albeit just limited) with an eye to get him back on the field in the timeframe you mentioned. Honestly we have the roster spots so no harm in activating him early if he’s inactive for a week or two as well.

I think there are several people on here who need to eat crow about the week 1 "the sky is falling and the Oline is garbage" overreaction...

With regards to the season being over, you're absolutely right. There was a lot of overreaction from the board. With regards to the OL, I'm not sure.

At least personally I did not suspect the season was even close to over. However I made a comment that last week's line was fundamentally flawed based on its performance. Then we get 3 changes to that line, Al moves to LT, Mekari in at RT, and Cleveland for Powers/ Phillips. I don't think it would have been reasonable to expect that group of 5 to play the way they did. It was really admirable.

only an issue if you’re forcing the ball which other than that 1 ball to Hollywood Lamar wasn’t turning down open receivers elsewhere

Honestly, who cares how many people you throw it to so long as you win?? Derek Carr said it best…” I’m not interested in fantasy points, I’m interested in getting it to the guy who’s open so we can win”

@rossihunter2 how did Queen fare last night? I thought he did well especially compared to last year

looked quick, quick to diagnose, quick to trigger

looked confident and not easily pulled out of position - was a few times left as the read guy on RPO and not much you can do about that as a LB

Really needs to improve his tackling - goes too high too often and it means he’s missing tackles or getting driven back for extra yardage

Agreed. I just see a major difference from when he was being burnt last year by the Chiefs to this year where he actually made a decent positive impact

Oline didnt play had last night at all.. im just saying that they still arent good

True. We don’t have the 2019 line where we dominated anybody and everybody (until the playoffs… I’m still sure we beat everyone to oblivion that year but we ran into our ultimate weaknesses in the Titans. Had the Patriots won that game, we would’ve been Super Bowl champs, no doubt)

theyre better than a lot of the rest of the league - lots of poor OL play around the league

but I mostly agree with you when we think about tackle play

but the interior has been rock solid and steady through 2 games

Andy Reid is always gonna make linebackers look silly - but he didn’t get overmatched like he was last year - took his lumps but played sound and made his plays

Oweh and averret deserves alot of praises from the coaches which they probably will get but dam them boys were balling.
