The Beatdown, The Tackling and Yet Another Injury

Im never making those kinda excuses.. borruw is nice af. No reason for people to start that hating stuff like how they did with pat and allen. Take away those weapons or whatever and just watch him.. just like how we all watched lamar when we had no weapons at all and seen how good it can be with some decent wrs, same needs to be applied to other qbs.

no one's saying Burrow isnt great and didnt play great

just pointing out where the bengals roster is better - it's not in question that he has the better receivers, better weapons in general and the better defence...

we shall see if this continues but if it does - it strikes me as one of the most obvious "i told you so" moments for some of us here vs the coaches

which is especially notable given how advanced and great the coaching and coaching decisions in general have been around this team especially over the last 3-4 years or so

wow this is honestly surprising (not film wise but just the fact someone can go from worst to first) and just blows my mind that josh bynes couldn’t stick with another team cuz he’s lowkey a goat lol

I still believe in this defense. I really think neglecting the fumble punches will cure many issues

I kept thinking, this could be a "Coming Out Party" for the Bungles... Divisional games are always difficult to predict, but this was a total collapse on our part. For how well everything went against the Chargers, same was true in the opposite direction this week. The ying and yang of the football season. Hopefully it hurt their egos enough that this won't happen again, but I'm not convinced.

The Oline was poor, the Dline was not in sync, and the virtually the entire defense couldn't tackle. The RB's are weak and injuries are simply KILLING us! This could go south fast.

I don't think it will, tho. I think we remain very competitive and bounce back, but I don't think we are an elite team. The Titans and the Bills look to me to be the teams to beat in the AFC.

they were overly underscoring him in coverage i think before this - he was disappointing but never "worst in the league" level bad

what it does make me wonder is why we let Bynes leave last year after he changed our defensive prospects the year before

It's not happening, but imagine getting CJ back to play the mike alongside him. That would be an amazing tandem!

would be a delightful reunion

unfortunately even despite "under-performing", he's clearly the jets most important defensive player which became even more obvious with his absence against the pats this week

Makes you wonder if the combination of the Jets wanting to get out of an expensive contract for an "under-performing" guy combined with him maybe wanting to come back to the ravens now that he's had a taste of the Jets might lead to something in the offseason.

I feel like I've missed something here, that's such a stark change! What has been the dominant factor? Is it Bynes playing? Moving him from mike to will? Reducing his responsibilities? A combination of the above or something else entirely?

I mean he only played like 40’snaps in 2 games

that's only because he missed basically 2 quarters through injury against the chargers...

his role has decreased but he played basically 50% of the snaps against the bengals (and bynes only played 75%) which was around 30...

the most obvious place he's losing snaps is in dime packages where bynes either stays in or we sub in board

Maybe having Fort made them comfortable letting him go?

I believe he is playing better even though i think trash.. havent seen him fk up these last two games.

agree on that uzomah play - still not even sure how he got lost at the top of the route by that head fake

My guess is cause Marlon aways seems to be overly physical and handsy. Then add he's 1-1 with a big TE(pause) and easy to see how he was shaken. Without watching the play again seem like he was leaning on him. Second CJ put his weight into him*pause* and changed direction he was gone.

I saw a breakdown on the plays where Marlon actually covered Chase and besides the long TD, he was really held in check by Marlon. The long TD Humphrey got taken out by his own guy. Why would we put our best corner at strong safety?

And while Lamar didn’t play his best game and reverted to some bad tendencies that we see in our losses, I don’t think he deserves to be called FaFF. Imagine if he had Chase and Mixon?

Humpf had six major faux pas moments. Just watch the highlights and isolate Humpf.

Whats clear is that as the Raven's have lost ground defensively, Humpf has been exposed. When surrounded by better talent his weaknesses were / are masked. Leave Humpf out their on an island and he can't find a coconut crab.

Humpf needs to move to Safety asap, but the corner's are decimated.

FAFF is Action Jacksons own phrasing. He created the moniker and should own it. FAFF has a sad if comical history.
