the way usc is snap counting is making it easier on ohio state - literally he puts his hand down to get the snap and it means that ohio state can literally just key in on the timing of the snap by watching darnold - they can get the jump - and when the rushers on the defence attack like these ohio state defenders that's gonna kill you on offence - and as i say this USC struggles to get personnel on the field, get down to the end of the playclock - osu waits for the hand to go down and by the time darnold gets the snap he's already swamped and it causes yet another turnover
i dont know if the trigger is darnold or the coach but its gotta go because its killing the protection and forcing darnold to scramble around (which he's good at) and is leading to turnovers - im not sure darnold would be served well by going back to school tbh - this offence wont help him in the long run - he needs to get in an nfl offence asap to fix some of these issues - clearly the 2nd qb behind josh rosen for me on this performance (he was already but this confirms it)
