The NFL Playoffs

I was so upset when we passed on Jack. I am even way more upset now. Ozzie must have been drunk at the time of that pick.
It's just insane ... There were some saying he could have been worthy of our 1st rounder ... For him to be there in the second was a near miracle. Then we trade back and get a special teams player instead.

I can only assume there were concerned about his knee cause the talent is unquestionable. But even if we pass on him ... Then Spence? ... Oh no, off the field risk.

I DO NOT want to watch next year's draft and listen to commentary about the skill of Ozzie and our FO. The narrative needs to be "the once world class drafting from this organization has hit some hard times over the past several years".

I could not agree more.

It wasn't a miracle, his knee could still be problems

and Spence only has 6.5 sacks over 2 years

IMHO, Jack was too good to pass over in the second though.
I can understand that.

But with our injury luck that would've been a huge risk without the benefit of hindsight

I do wish they would've made better picks, but those were completely understandable reasons to back off

I remember reading that certain doctors expected his career to last for about three years before the problems began (or something to that effect). With the draft you never know, and Jack may yet have 20 more years of stellar play, but I can't blame the FO for being put off by his injury reports.
