Fire John Harbaugh Thread

One thing, not on this board but things I've heard from Ravens fans is that Harbaugh should be kept around because he doesn't have a good OC around him. Well that's his fault because he hires the guys. He passed on Kyle Shannahan and I think he did it twice. He also passed on Adam Gase as well and instead he went with Mark Trestman, a guy who just got fired from the freaking Canadian Football league. He even stuck with Marty who this fanbase was upset about keeping around and in turn has hurt us in the process.

Julio is and always has been balling out of his mind. Never dropped off. No idea why people suddenly said he wasn’t the best or one of. Literally the only reason you could even say Thomas is better than Julio is because Julio doesn’t score TDs and that’s not his fault.

I don’t have the time right now to talk about it so I’ll get back to it later but Gurley is really good but not nearly as good as his stats suggest.

Probably if you said top 3, but that was before AB had this below avg season for his standards (although I always had AB as 3rd anyway). I always said Thomas could make a case for top 5. For now you can make a case that he’s passed AB, but not Julio or Hopkins

If anything, his choice of OCs is one of the prime reasons that should get him fired. Aside from Kubiak, he's never hired a high-quality OC and has stuck with guys for far too long (first with Cam and now appears to be doing the same with Marty). I've always had a feeling that his loyalty to the wrong guys was ultimately going to be his downfall and it seems more and more likely that's going to happen.

This is correct and Harbaughs biggest flaw. I don’t care how good a coach you are, if you can’t hire good assistants you are as good as done.

Btw, Shanahan is not spelt with a double n. Not sure why that gets me but it is done a lot.

Marty and Trestman were his hires, I think that should fall on him and not any one else. That's who he chooses to ride with so that's who he has to drown with. As far as his loyalty goes, Marty will likely be the 3rd OC he would fire at the end of the season, that's not something anyone would be and he would be looking for his 5th OC in the last 7 seasons.

Can’t argue with that but the front office has given him awful skill position players. Only so much scheming you can do offensively. When guys aren’t winning their one on ones it’s a personal issue.

Absolutely, they've screwed up the past couple of years but I don't think that will save Harbaugh still.

What i mean is that i think he has more say in who gets drafted than than previously. I know that the GM has the last say, i just think after Harbs won the SB, Steve gave him more lead way. I just dont by that Ozzie all of a sudden got bad at drafting.

After the SB Biscotti saw that Harbaugh is capable of winning it all and thought he wants to support Harbaugh's general idea on how to form such a team.
Then they drafted more of the player types that fit this idea which I get to a certain extent. But some of those picks are really questionable.
I think we have to wait until DeCostas first draft. Hiring the wrong coaching staff is what I really think set us back and we haven't been able to replace various scouting positions( Douglas, Weidl and so on)

Yea i agree. I do think LJ was DeCosta's guy so i think we will see a more aggressive approach than what Oz had.

Who are you wanting as a HC?
 
Yeah kinda figured Steve wouldn't do a mid season firing but man if Lamar comes in and lights it up and saves his job???
 
LaCanfuckoff isn’t the only one who mentioned this, there’s a full article on cbssports about it.

Man, it’s really coming to a close now. I started REALLY getting into football only 2 years before billicks firing, so my fourth season of watching football heavy was when the Harbaugh era started, and I’ve barely known anything else, I’m REALLY sad to see this have to end. Even if it’s necessary, I’m a big Harbaugh fan even though his decisions piss me off, and i honestly worry about seeing a new face on the sidelines.
