Fire John Harbaugh Thread

I saw an article saying that us and Harbs are planning on mutually parting ways after this season.

Is it me or does that just sound soft as hell? It’s like we have no fight at all... Typical Ravens with no fight, can’t even just straight up fire the guy after 3 straight years of no playoff appearances.
A lot of teams have done it this way with long tenured coaches. It's just a sign of respect.

And the weather people are wrong a lot of times but no one is calling for their heads my brother.

I get what you are saying. Just having fun with it man. lol
That is just the worst damn analogy I’ve ever seen. Weather people are making predictions based on forecasts.

Reporters have real sources. You rarely if ever see guys like schefter get something wrong because he only reports credible things.

La canfora reports every single thing he hears and hopes they’re true. If you really don’t have a problem with his reporting you have a problem.

In an interview with barstool I heard Arians say that Jackson was the most interesting QB in the class. He also (joked) he’d consider coming out of retirement if Arizona drafted Jackson and he got paired with DJ.

Recently he commented the only Job he’d consider is the Browns. So he’s clearly not 100% committed to staying retired.

Any thought on whether he’d be someone we’d try to lure here ... and if so would that be something we’d want to do?

I'm all for it! When the Cards had a competent QB, they were winning 10+ games every season under him. If he can make Lamar competent, then there's no reason why we can't have the same success.

Or could it be that Harbaugh feels himself that he could use a fresh start. In that case it would be true.

Steve outright fired Billick but I’m not exactly sure how that equates to having no fight.

On one hand he is a good coach and id be down.

But I don’t want someone coming out of retirement to coach. I want another long tenured coach and Arians would probably only coach another 4-5 years at most.

But if those years brought us a Super Bowl I’m 100% down lol. Lots of factors go into it

that's because most of those guys triple source before they report anything
the only people who dont triple source are insiders because for them it's a race

now the reason JLC gets away with stuff is because he's a self-proclaimed insider which means he doesnt have to triple source everything in order to report - but he's no good at being an insider but he takes a lot of chances - a broken clock is right twice a day...

i want someone younger - not because they'll be around longer - but because their ideas will be less sullied and ground down by nfl coach groupthink

I don't pay attention to many of the reporters out there, but I'm guessing JLC is kinda like the Dan Clark of football?

Like throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping it sticks. I don’t know how he has a job.

Honestly, 5 years is kinda long compared to how long most coaches stick around with one team. And it'd be fine if Arians taught a successor to take over for him, thus keeping the same scheme intact once he's gone.

I could see the Packers moving on from McCarthy and grabbing Harbs. People may not like Harbs here, but once hes on the market he will be gone pretty quickly.

Which is fine...
It can be time to move on and harbs can be a great coach at the same time. Those 2 things are not mutually exclusive.

Couldnt agree more. I am ready for a new offensive minded HC. Also, some times a change of scenery is needed, in this case, i think its needed for the organization and for Harbs.

This is very true, but the odds are stacked against him winning a super bowl with another team, as know coach has won a super bowl as head coach on two different teams. That said, maybe he becomes the first.

Maybe I’m alone here but I’ll believe Harbaugh is gone when it’s official. By all accounts last year everyone thought Lewis would be gone from CIN. I’m going to wait and see

I think it depends on what happens for the rest of the season. Things look bleak, but if we can somehow sneak into the playoffs and win a game then maybe there's a possibility that he stays. Honestly, anything short of a Super Bowl and I think it's best for both parties to move on, at this point. Harbs had a great run, but it's time to get some new ideas into the locker room.

Worst damn analogy huh? lol

As always in your haste to attempt to be technical you miss the simple point. That point being that meteorologists (like reporters) put out the wrong information at times. It goes without saying that reporters have real sources and yet, many of them STILL report false information in the attempts to be the first to break a story etc. And to think that they don't is a clear demonstration of your ignorance.

La Canfora's or any other reporters reporting doesn't bother me cause I don't sweat the small stuff like you or others. I'm a big boy, a grown ass man that realizes that there are far too many sources out there to gain accurate information so there's no need for me to get bent out of shape over cats that may not do so.
