Fire John Harbaugh Thread

It’s more likely Baltimore released the statement to quell the comments. We’ve likely been working on this before the article
Right - that's why I said made the move "now"... as in the move was already on the horizon. I said "vote of confidence" really meaning a public vote of confidence. Obviously, it this were already in the works, Harbaugh would have known about it.

This is one of the top stories on most site's NFL home page. This line from nfl.com:

"Baltimore's resurgence over the last half of this season appears to have solidified the organization's confidence in Harbaugh to lead the Ravens out of the Flacco era and into the Jackson age. "

The comical thing is how this stroke of genius required Flacco getting hurt. It would be interesting to know when/if this move would have been made with a healthy Flacco.

I doubt we would have made the change without Flacco getting hurt.

i can live with this - would have preferred different but i can live with it

ill be hella pissed though if urban or roman get pinched elsewhere but marty stays in stead

and with regards to the timing - im guessing it was partially to make it clear that this decision is unaffected by the result of saturday (and probably by extension our playoff appearance)

Breaking....

The 2019 edition has been approved by John and Steve, sneak preview here:

So while I didn't want Harbaugh to return, I think it will be OK. I think that there will be some changes tbh. Harbaugh keeps Wink, but basically switches Marty's and Roman's jobs. With Roman calling the plays after a full offsesaon for Lamar, I'd expect a lot of improvement. Could be dreaming

Marty and Roman will switch jobs? I’m more likely to find love

If we don’t make playoffs, someone’s gotta take the hit. If it ain’t harbs, it’s marty.

We play the AFC East and the NFC West next year, and based on standings and the likely second place finish we will either play the Chiefs/Chargers on the road and either the Colts/Titans at home. The NFC West schedule looks to be Seattle and the Rams on the road while Arizona and San Fran come to Baltimore. We have the Pats and Jets coming to Baltimore, while visiting the Bills and Dolphins on the road.

Yeah Harbaugh!!!!!

And we'd likely be playing as spoilers now and Harbaugh would have been fired? Sure seems like it.
Well , probably true but the change in QB and the results ( Lamar should be 5-0 ) opened Biscotti’s eyes that Joe was the primary problem not Harbaugh .
Harbaugh and his staff have done an incredible job integrating a completely new offense with Lamar . Biscotti realizes this . If you think about it , this may be Harbaugh’s best coaching of his career.

Now if Harbaugh begins to fail with Lamar , he is toast. No if and or buts.

But what if the next failure is due to Lamar's shortcomings? Remember, John can't do anything wrong.

Yeah Harbaugh!!!!!
Can’t really go by the records, because this year was going to be a very tough year and there is a thread about it also. Won’t really know until next season. Just count 3 losses in October no matter who we are playing.

Change the name to Harbaugh hired! I'm glad he is going to be back because he and the coaches have shown that they're more than well equipped to adapt to the LJ era! In fact I think they're doing an awesome job at it.

After it was announced that we were keeping him a lot of NFC North fans were thrilled because they didn't want to see a fired up, well coached Packers. Most nfl fans seem to really respect him.

Personally I'm fine with it as long as we get a new OC.
