It doesnt matter but im just pointing out that he does actually know just refuse to talk about him which is cool…. Ab is normal to me… you on the other hand…………..

really interesting - he went hard on analytics and he and depodesta are the reason the browns have the only analytics team rated by higher by their peers than the ravens do right now

there's no obvious executive openings and we're fairly saturated at the top of the organisation so this is a somewhat surprising move given that he's mainly been the top dog at other organisations when he's been there...

i wonder if we're creating some new role for him with some sort of analytics focus but that's pure speculation

all i know is that he and the ravens have one particular thing 100% in common... they love draft picks

sashi was great at a couple of things while GM of the Browns - acquiring draft capital and clearing the deck of poor contracts - he was not great at talent evaluation (but that's fine because the ravens are very good at that)

i imagine partly this might be sashi potentially wanting to use the ravens as a stepping stone towards another chance at becoming an NFL GM

It's certainly an interesting move and I would imagine the analytics piece is the big reason he's been hired if I had to guess. I would anticipate he looks at analytics a little differently than our current department in this scenario, however. With his background, he seems like a good fit for contractual and roster move (aka draft pick) types of things instead. Not necessarily an on field analytics person but someone to add to the system in the FO.

Which makes a lot more sense now that we know we're not just adding another body. Very similar backgrounds between the two with both being lawyers/general counsel for an organization. Seems like a good fit from an operational perspective, and I imagine it was an easy choice for Sashi to say yes.

definitely - experience in multiple sports across multiple organisations and recently multiple organisations simultaneously
he's also incredibly accomplished for someone as young as he is - sorted out naming rights for the jags stadium among other things...

i do find it funny that when the browns got rid of him, they kept lots of key elements of his front office and executive staff in tact and yes they didnt pick that many great players with him as the GM (but i can 100% tell you he wouldnt have picked baker mayfield 1st overall) but tbh neither did dorsey

and for sashi - you get to be the team president in one of the 2 or 3 most stable franchises in the league with an owner who shells out top money

if oweh did what he did this year, I imagine it will pale in comparison to what we’ll see ojabo do from a pure pass rushing perspective

It would be so cool if The Ravens could bring in Pep Hamilton or Jim Caldwell in as a passing coordinator or in some kind of role to help advance The Ravens passing attack. I bet they target Pat Shurmur to be their tight end coach though but that might actually just be a in house promotion instead. The Ravens could potentially lose James Urban with Doug Peterson being hired as The Jaguars head coach.
