The 2022 Offseason Thread

Yes, please.

"The team gathered around Owner Steve Bisciotti at the end of minicamp. Bisciotti reminded everyone to make good decisions and avoid trouble during their time away prior to training camp. "He talked about the culture, and he talked about [how] we like people that add to our culture, not people that detract from our culture. And he asked them for no drama," Head Coach John Harbaugh said."

Seems like Likely is the clear front runner between he and Kolar. What I don't get though is he looks like an actual twig. Not very different from a WR at all. How is this guy gonna block anyone?

he's got a weird body shape with most of his weight seemingly in his lower half - he's actually only about 5lbs lighter than kolar who's 2 inches taller

What we call a no dickhead policy. Love it.

Likely can thump. He isn’t an inline kinda blocker but he’s cleaned a few dudes clocks out of FB/h back type assignments.

He doesn’t move like a WR and doesn’t have a WR body type, he’s like 240 and most of his weight is in his lower half, I’m expecting him to be the Hayden hurst replacement, he aligned and motioned pre snap the exact way we did with hurst, only difference is we did a lot of slip routes and sneaky shit with hurst while likely went deep out of FB alignment an insane amount.

If this is correct, I'd expect Kolar to be the game day inactive

I wouldn't be surprised if we have 4 TEs active on gameday

they'd both have to play special teams i think for that to happen
remember ricard also fulfils a lot of TE responsibilities too - we're probably looking at 1 DB, 1 DL, 1 OL, 1 RB inactive on gamedays which leaves a 5th inactive spot to fill - maybe that's a 2nd DB or another front 7 player depending on matchup but think it's far more realistic to expect one of those spots to be a TE especially if they're not a special teams factor

that's a very good point, will see who plays special teams out of the TE's we drafted.

Most definitely. If they're not going to get a ton of playing time then they would have to make an impact on ST in order to be active on gamedays. That being said, both Likely and Kolar give me the impression that they're all about football and are going to do whatever it takes to get on the field, including busting their asses on ST.

Jesus Christ man, give it a break. You and Chris and the rest of media are booty hurt because you can't get any information regarding Lamar and his extension. This guy proves he's a clown each and every day and it's getting on my nerves

You would swear he was getting a percentage the way he's constantly bringing it up. He has no reason to sign a contract now. At the very very worst he's seeing a Dak like contract from the Ravens. And if he actually hit FA because the Ravens played hardball he's getting INSANE money from a desperate franchise looking for a qb. You don't think a team like ATL begging fans to fill that stadium wouldn't pay him top dollar? The Browns truly fucked us and the Bengals with that Watson contract.

yuck - get this gross shit off my timeline - the least they could do is actually watch the presser and not misrepresent it...

"You rarely say this about a 5-foot-10, 185-pound cornerback, but Damarion Williams just looks like he belongs out there. We’ll see if that holds up in training camp, but secondary coach Chris Hewitt said, “I guarantee you the kid has got the biggest heart and he’s a good football player.”

Damarion and Hamilton and Likely seem to have been the rookies with the most praise so far.
