Ravens Ring of Honor
Well the Brownies did at least one thing to hurt us. Paying a huge amount of money to this bum.
God I despise that franchise and its trashy ass fans.Well the Brownies did at least one thing to hurt us. Paying a huge amount of money to this bum.
It won't matter to the sexually deviant. He just has 20 more women he can get massages from so the total doesn't exceed 24. He is sick and needs help in the worst way, not the ability to play football.Attorney Tony Buzbee said all but four lawsuits against Deshaun Watson have been settled.
Buzbee has represented dozens of women bringing sexual assault charges against Watson for more than a year. Buzbee said attorneys are "working through paperwork" related to the four outstanding suits against Watson, who did not play in 2021 and could face a lengthy suspension in 2022. Buzbee indicated the other four lawsuits would eventually be settled, adding that the terms of the settlements with Watson would remain confidential. This marks a major turning point in the Watson saga, as there was some question as to whether he could suit up for the Browns with lawsuits pending. We could see Watson, the league's highest paid player, on the field this fall or winter.

Interesting here. Seems like the legal process could play out quicker than expected.
I marvel at the authority with which you speak and write on every topic, my friend! It almost seems to me you are an attorney that has tried a lot of these kinds of cases, or in some instances an NFL GM and in other instances, just a wise man beyond his years. I've read most of the Earl Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason novels growing up as well as plenty of John Grisham novels. I couldn't even pretend to have this kind of knowledge. BravoWell there were no criminal charges, so he was never going to jail anyway. Monetary settlements through civil lawsuits is basically the only result that was ever going to occur. The fact that there are settlements isn't surprising, because that's where this has been headed since basically day one. I'm just personally surprised it happened so quickly.
I could argue and see both sides of the criminal vs civil side of things. On the one hand, if what he's accused of doing is true, he deserves prison time for it. And that's somewhat an act of "justice". On the other hand, him going to prison probably doesn't do much for the victims. In some of these cases, financial "justice" is about the only thing a victim can hope for. If nothing else, I would suspect the monetary settlements would be sufficient enough, in some cases at least, to get the victims through therapy and whatever issues they may or may not be dealing with.
Really just depends on the individual situations and how they process what happened.

Well if the criminal justice system isn't going to make it required, who's going to? Truth is he's going to pay out millions in monetary "fines" and settlements for this. That'll be a much better deterrent than some shrink charging him $500/hour to talk about his feelings ever will, and it's much, much, much better "reform" than any prison stint would give him either. It won't matter to the sexually deviant. Why though? Because their Ownership wanted to pay a serial sex predator to play QB for them?God I despise that franchise and its trashy ass fans.
Because fuck them that’s whyWhy though? Because their Ownership wanted to pay a serial sex predator to play QB for them?
lol OK. I'm mostly just curious because the Ravens have at least two pretty gigantic big fat stains on our "how to not handle off-field situations well" resume, and I'd argue both were more significant than Watson's is. Obviously leadership really couldn't have botched the Ray Rice situation more than they did (though the NFL is complicit too).Because fuck them that’s why
And you know this how? lolI hope Watson knows that the Massage Parlors in Cleveland aren't as good as the Massage Parlors in Houston.
On the transition from college to the NFL: "I was talking to Daelin Hayes and I thought I didn't have a good day at practice. I was like, 'Damn, I should've practiced better.' Daelin was like, 'Everybody at this level is good. You're going to get done up in practice a few times. You're not going to be perfect in practice every day. Dudes in the league get beat on a weekly basis. You have to understand where you're at and try to fix the mistakes that you made.' Lamar shows up and hasn't missed a beat. You see in person, up close, a top five quarterback in the NFL, he can really spin it —arm angles, and then obviously when he gets out of the pocket, it's over with. You see how precise you have to be on defense."
Pretty mature and heady response from Daelin given he hasn't really even played in games.
Screws over the Bengals too, it helps Burrow got them to the Super Bowl but that contract made it worse.Well the Brownies did at least one thing to hurt us. Paying a huge amount of money to this bum.
LOL yeah there isn't a single item on that list that isn't a gross over-reaction to the situation.Screws over the Bengals too, it helps Burrow got them to the Super Bowl but that contract made it worse.
Hopefully the NFL announces the punishment soon. The NFL if they truly hate what the Browns did....
- Indefinite Suspension of Deshaun Watson. Can apply for reinstatement after 2 years.
- Force the Haslams to sell the team.
- Fine and Suspend GM Andrew Berry for 1 year
- Take away Additional Draft Picks
- No New Stadium
- Force Cleveland to take the bulk of Watson's contract this season and next season, meaning no $1M cap hit this year.
- First ever 0-17 Team
The only thing the Brownies did was make a trade for a player; a potentially bad trade given the degree of douchebaggery Watson was up to. But that's a buyer beware situation and they knew it. The most that will happen to them is Douche-awn will never play a down for them and they'll lose all of that draft capital. Even a lifetime ban is mere wishful thinking on our part. Watson gets 6 games to a year suspension and, with no other infractions, he plays football after the penalty is served.Screws over the Bengals too, it helps Burrow got them to the Super Bowl but that contract made it worse.

He should still get opportunities this year toohe just is a pro already i think - it's a real shame he got injured after 4 snaps because i think he could have really kicked on and earned himself some snaps if he'd stayed healthy
You might have watched these inside the draft videos before, but it's still interesting to see how the GMs think and behave differently. You can also see why some GMs are not as good as the others and how some HC have a say even though they shouldn't lol. I also like these private combine interview snippets and how each team has a different setup.Wtf are we supposed to talk about for the next month
and he had an impact in those four snaps.he just is a pro already i think - it's a real shame he got injured after 4 snaps because i think he could have really kicked on and earned himself some snaps if he'd stayed healthy
Aint nobody owning up to no shyt like that lol..Deshaun so desperate to play football rather own up to what he did so he decided to pay them off. It's 2022 and paying off victims to shut them up or prevent going to jail isn't banned in the US. These Women deserve justice, not a payday while Watson still gets to play Football on TV every week. Sickening.
