Now we're getting to the "who" stage of the draft officially. A few guys taken in recent picks that I hadn't even heard of

What a nice draft though. Think we've talked about day 1 and day 2 ad nauseam to this point so won't comment too much there.

Faalele and Armour-Davis the obvious best picks of the day and guys I had 3rd round grades on. After that, I feel like we got to more appropriate value for the rest of the draft. Not too much to complain about whatsoever. Only thing would potentially be taking 2 TEs but again, that's nitpicking at most considering how everything else went.

the isaiah likely pick confused me a little but i guess if you double up you've got a better chance of hitting on one of them - but it is odd that neither of the TEs are blockers

and i wasnt enthused by the damarion williams pick either - just think there were better options and better athletes around when we picked him

otherwise ive got nothing to complain about and the first 6 picks were outrageous

I personally think it makes a ton of sense that neither TE blocks. Boyle is coming back full strength and isn't going anywhere. His role is solidified. These guys are Mark Andrew insurance on a team that has now lost but not replaced Marquise Brown

Highly doubt wrs are running to sign with us.

why? coz hollywood doesnt like the system? there's at least 1 open starting spot at WR on this roster - not many, if any, other places around the league with open spots at the position

if the choice is coming in and getting 500-700yds as a WR 2/3 here or sitting on the bench somewhere else, it's a no-brainer

I know I would be glad to get some actual playing time with a playoff contender team.

right but in multi-TE sets, part of the value is the ability to block to create 2-way play-calling value
id certainly understand adding 1 receiver type TE and another more blocking-oriented type to create insurance at both spots

Not convinced he'll actually make it there, but Justyn Ross would be at the top of my list for UDFA as of right now. Injuries be damned, I'll take a shot on the upside.

the exact type of udfa guy you go for
zero risk, only reward - like Foster Sarell last year...

2nd that. Maybe we see a change in personnel sets. Could see Andrews out wide more and still want to keep guys in line.

The only thing that would make this day better is breaking news that Roman retires...

Oh of course! I'm sure that they believe one of these 2 guys will be able to improve enough in this way to be even better well rounded players even if it takes a little while
