Still not sure I'd put him on that level.

Also think we're all assuming Hamilton and Clark push Stevens out of the S rotation, but I'd expect to see those two playing in the box a lot with Stephens and Williams roaming deep or playing matchup ball. I think he'll play nickel but I have a hard time referring to him as a CB if that makes sense.
Yeah that does make sense. It just means we have no corners on the team lol. We need like 3 corners. Obviously not 3 top guys but you actually need 3

he's a DB matchup weapon/flexible chess piece - but not someone who's strictly a corner

now whether that distinction matters in a mike mcdonald defence is a different matter entirely

Wonder what happens to Chuck now. Either we’re eliminating LBs or he’s pushed down the depth chart big time.

I mean I think it's oddly possible. We know Hamilton will likely be playing some LB too. He's not a strict S.

the flexibility all these guys offer is that you can go split safety with any of them - Hamilton and Clark can drop into the box, hamilton can also matchup against big TEs and backs, stephens has the ability to play nickel depending on the matchup too
