2022 NFL Draft Gameday Thread

What position will the Ravens select with their first pick in the draft?

  • Total voters
    37
  • Poll closed .
Travis Jones is the first non-power-5 prospect the ravens have drafted since the pandemic
if that's a sign that we're comfortable with smaller school prospects then watch out...

tomorrow is scouts day and there's a bunch of small school guys with nice profiles

Some notable smaller school guys that we either have shown interest in, or i think we should have interest in:
Zyon McCollum
Joshua Williams
Tariq Woolen
Eric Johnson

and a ton of other interesting guys too... 21 of my top 100 are still available including 9 of the top 75

really looking forward to tomorrow, but following the draft and UDFAs I feel it is very important to bring in a veteran WR to this room of youth.

Best remaining guys on my board right now in the top 100 (in order of how they're stacked):

CB Zyon McCollum
DT Perrion Winfrey (stunned he made it out of day 2)
OT Daniel Faalele
OL Jamaree Salyer
RB Isaiah Spiller
RB Dameon Pierce
OT Rasheed Walker
LB Malcolm Rodriguez
EDGE Kingsley Enagbare
DT Matthew Butler
DT John Ridgeway III
OL Zach Tom
TE Cade Otton
DT Eric Johnson
RB Kyren Williams
DT Kalia Davis
CB Joshua Williams
RB Zamir White
OL Darian Kinnard
RB Jerome Ford
OT Max Mitchell
TE Chigoziem Okonkwo

worth noting also that the highest *graded* player remaining on my board is Damone Clark - he now becomes draftable at some point on day 3 - if you take him you're taking him with the understanding that this is entirely for 2023 and beyond because there's no chance he plays in 2022 - but he's a hyper-talented MLB candidate who without the surgery he had to have would have been stacked in the top 40 on my board...

so watch out for him too

veteran may be important for sure - more important though is the (re)addition of a vertical threat... Bateman's a downfield danger, but Duvernay's not been a vertical threat despite being a sub-4.4 athlete

ALSO:

Reminder - The No Spoiler Rule is no longer in effect

Spoilers are now allowed in this thread because the broadcast gets so far behind on day 3...
As always, be respectful of your fellow posters

I know the NFL loves that Thursday Night prime time slot but kind of wish they scheduled it Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Friday Night Round 1; Saturday Night, Rounds 2-3, you could add Round 4 as well; Then wrap things up with Rounds 5-7 on Sunday afternoon. I just remembered that tomorrow it starts at 12 PM ET, which is 9 AM over in Vegas, that's a long day lol.

I think I may be on the Calvin Austin train for one of our 4th round picks. Gives us speed with enticing route running, although he is a small receiver 5'7 3/4 and 170lbs. he's great off the los with quick acceleration and detailed route running.

Bruh.. go for the home run swing..

Justyn Ross.
