i wonder if the reason it took us so long to make the pick is because we were trying hard to get anything to move back because we knew we wanted hurst but we were fairly certain we could get him later

I feel like Moore was our guy (Marcus Peters 2: Electric Boogaloo) and we were scrambling to either find a trade back partner or settle on someone else once he was off the board.

I'm not sure why we passed on Ridley though. Age clearly isn't an excuse given who we got. It'd be depressing as hell if it was because we decided we were set at WR though. All in all today feels like a pretty epic letdown.

Age is literally one of the few things working against Hurst. For taking time off from football to play baseball, that dude is still NFL ready at TE which is a rarity. I love it but that should be no surprise as he was the pick in my mock.

That's my thought ... dude should be ready to go from day 1. TEs almost never have an immediate impact.

I like that he's a true 3 down guy who likes to mix it up and block out edge rushers. I hope he turns out to be nasty. We need nasty on our offense. He can take over the role of Wildling that Jensen held.

feels empty, because hurst doesnt seem special, hes older, he is outshined by other receiving TEs this class, we shouldve taken ridley.
