Welcome to the Ravens, Hayden Hurst and Lamar Jackson

If only we had an early 2nd round pick to go along with everything else. Imagine this draft but with a will hernandez.
I'm worried about the O line. Sorry but mr alabama in the 6th round is not starting material. Skura or lewis? no thanks.

We needed to take wyatt teller instead kenny young at the very least. Kenny young is UDFA quality IMO.

you like josh allen?
Allen is nice but idk. He is big and athletic. I think at worst he will be an avg qb. I do believe that baker has a bigger chance at being a bust tbh, but at the same time my money is on baker to be the best qb out of the group.

I have my doubts about Allen. He has absolutely no poise. I think he ends up busting.

People hated Allen on a scale Ive never seen (I heard a podcaster call him a "poor man's Blake Bortles") but I think that Allen got a crazy overreaction at large because of his completion percentage. Multiple QBs have overcome that issue (Stafford, Ryan, etc.)- though that is the exception more than the rule. He seems like a smart guy and a hard worker, but he needs to learn a lot of basic shit (identifying blitzes, etc.).

I had internal turmoil in deciding if I liked him better than Jackson or not. Still kinda unsure. Josh Allen is taller.

i think allen is a guaranteed bust. how do you think baker is a bigger risk to bust?

great video. im shit at studying qbs since this is my first year doing it literally ever, this really gives some insight. never been able to break down some of the details he did, just noticing how panicked and jittery one player is compared to another was enough for me.

saw that lol. after further evaluation i think we MAY have made the right pick. ridley is a special talent, i have never seen a wr run routes so explosively but he is also the craftiest/most creative route runner ive ever seen in college, as steve smith ignorantly said about dj moore, he has a phd in route running(ridley i mean). but it IS true that hes best suited playing across from a true #1 as he doesnt have the physical skillset to beat double coverage.

hurst is simply unstoppable at times. his explosion makes it damn hard to single cover, his size and catching ability make it hard to even double cover, his quickness is abnormal for a man his size, and he DOES NOT DROP IT. i wont say definitively that hurst was the better choice, but i can say that i fully understand it. hurst is nothing to scoff at, i think we got a steal.

Yeah I know but I really wanted Ridley as a Raven.
And bloody Ryan - gets $100 mil guaranteed to throw to Julio and Ridley. How fucking lucky one can get... Ridiculous.

Somehow the Falcons ended up with the two best Crimson Tide WRs in history.

Much as icriticize flacco, i do believe that this year could be his best year stat wise. Ive been watching hurst and he basically everything we need. Gets RAC, possession wr, good with the jump ball and he is a decent blocker. crazy thing is, andrews was my fav TE coming out simply cause baker is my guy but im liking the hurst pick. i think ridley will be a stud but at the same time i feel ravens just went with the safer pick. Our group of pass catchers this year are probably the most versatile group flacco has ever had. With a potential superstar as flacco backup, hopefully flacco will get on his shit and step up his game..

Can't put my finger on it but I fully believe Lamar Jackson will be a huge success in the NFL. It's probably his confidence coupled with his incredible talent that makes me feel this way. Also it doesn't hurt that we now have a dedicated QB coach in Urban who's worked with Vick before as well as Roman who's had experience with both Kaepernik and Tyrod. This kid if my intuition is correct will transform Baltimore's offensive football and more likely the entire NFL with his talent.

working with kap, tyrod and vick doesnt say much to me. those guys arent the most accurate qbs.

But this kid got progressively better in Louisville with his accuracy. Now that he's got a good QB coach, he is capable of improving on his accuracy even more. Short of one pass he almost had 60% passing accuracy with 30 TD passes. Not bad at all and a whole lot better than the #7 pick Josh Allen!
