The DL, The Lamar and Another Blown Lead

Time for point differentials

Q1: 37 - 3 = +34
Q2: 58 - 47 = +11
Q3: 44 - 27 = +17
Q4: 22 - 64 = - 42

Cumulative halfs
1st: +45
2nd: - 25

Through 3 quarters: +62
4th quarter: - 42

Overall + 20

Collapses of ridiculous proportion and insane we are 3-3.

Yeah, basically, I'm looking at the receiver issue, not Lamar. I don't want to focus on Lamar this game because everyone else is and there's not tons to add. I'm focusing on something that I think will continue to be a large issue and hadn't been brought up yet.
Most thought as long as Bateman stayed healthy we'd be fine with the other pieces complimenting him and Andrews. The biggest problem is he went down and now a guy that was hyped all off season by the team seems to have less snaps than his jersey #. Easy passes seem difficult and Lamar is missing on deep opportunities. Then add in one of the least clutch defenses and you get this current construction of the Ravens. Oh yeah, still can't stay healthy either.

Trade Lamar Jackson after this season . He is simply too inconsistent.
Is he a very good player ? Yes .

But for the money he is asking it is not worth keeping him and tanking the money the Ravens have to play with .

I have never felt this way about Lamar before but I see too many inconsistencies.

This is nuts

The data shows incredibly clearly that the offense doesn't score any points in the 4th quarter and the defense gives up so many points in the 4th quarter its crazy.

I've been saying this team isn't constructed to win but I feel like looking at these scores tells a different story. We've been trialing the whole year less than 2 minutes. We have huge positive point differentials through 3 quarters. That means this team is clearly capable of beating any other team. But why is it the case that the entire team both sides just collapse at the end of games? It's actually kind of crazy and very hard to understand.

Dude you know what makes this even worse? They've given Proche no snaps how whole career up until this point. Then Bateman goes down and he doesn't even get a snap increase. You know what that means? They think he's trash and we're never going to play him. You know what's crazier? It's the same situation for Wallace!!!!

That means they knew all along they've never really had any intention of playing those 2. That means they thought preseason oh we'll just role with Bateman and Duv, if someone gets cut will probably bring them in. And that guy was garbage DRob which every Raiders and chiefs fan cloned us for. That's truly inexcusable and indefensible.

In regard to Proche seems like The Ravens see him as a slot receiver but Likely been playing outside wide in the slot and he's a bigger target so Proche probably forgotten about after that. I don't know what to say about Wallace but at the sametime even with Bateman being out I'm not sure if The Ravens depth at wide receiver has been the issue.

-Mark Andrews TD drop
-Missed DPI on us
-What could've been enough for a first down from Wallace (I think?) because I don't think he was down before crossing the first down plane
-Penalty on Stanley which screwed us over from picking up the first down
-Muffed snap and Lamar's dumb ass INT

Despite outgaining them 406 to 238, it's the little shit that fucks us over in the end.

This might also say when our pass rushers are healthy the defense might be able to maintain a lead but who knows at this point.

I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion. I can do the stat checking but there are practically no receptions by WRs not named Bateman or Duvernay. There's just no impact from that corps especially with Bateman down.

We know that the addition of Bowser and Ojabo should help on the defensive side. The question is by how much? What about on the offensive side though? What can help? Bateman and Gus can come back. But running wasn't the issue today.

The Steelers with their mid AF team and rookie QB went in and beat the Bucs today. We couldn't beat the mid AF giants with a 2 score 4th quarter lead.

We have no right to have any expectations for a team this mentally fragile. I get all the talk about Edge and WR but we play well enough with our roster and then we fold like a cheap suit. We are dumb cowards in the 4th.

Bateman would be huge. Gus should help short yards. But mainly being able to pressure with a lead and hopefully getting more possessions or cause more TOs. Note to self. Live bet against us when Tucker misses early.

Yep!!! I came to that conclusion too by looking at things. We have a +62 point differential after 3 quarters. We have a - 42 in the 4th. We're basically undoing everything we've done for 45 minutes in the last 15.

Are the WRs and EDGEs seriously below where we'd like them to be? Absolutely! Are they the sole reason for that egregious point differential story? I doubt it.

This has gotta be a mix of poor execution, bad coaching, generally not having a team full of winners with the killer instinct, injuries, and poor depth at key positions.

The question is this at all fixable?
