The Offensive Line Thread

Terrell Owens missed like 7 weeks in 2004 with a broken fibula and returned for the Super Bowl and had a monstrous game.

Yanda is an absolute monster and one of the toughest players in the NFL, so to think he'll miss the next 14 weeks is a bit crazy.

I don't know ... when the team comes out and says this definitively that a guy is out for the season .. he's usually out for the season.

Thinking anything else at this point feels like denial.

We're just going to have to hope that Bergstrom plays well enough for us to be effective. I refuse to say now that all hope is lost. It is a major blow, but not giving up.

So he could just be IR'd and return?

whats the point of this season? Maxx williams is now in a walking boot. What is the point of playing these seasons when your entire team at this current rate will be on IR by week 9?

If we don't trade for a quality O linesman within a couple of weeks it will tell me of intent of the FO which is that they have already given up on this year because of injuries.

Stanley, Howard, and Jensen are going to have to propel this OL. I know that Yanda is irreplaceable but I don't think this ends our season.

Surely a fracture isnt a season ender? Don't broken bones only take about 6 weeks to heal? Then 6 or so to get back into football shape?

Couldnt he make the playoffs?

If we make it. Which I doubt at this point tbh. Good front 7s are going to eat us alive without the dude there.

add in yanda's toughness and he probably wont even be on I/R - he'll be back for the steelers lol...
