i dont think he'll bust but i also think it would be bizarre to reach for him of all players - id much rather "reach" on a guy like isaiah wynn or billy price or will hernandez or james daniels if we had to go after oline

Problem is that RT is probably much more important in the league, therefor raising Millers draft value and making him more valuable than all those other interior offensive lineman you just mentioned. The depth of the interior line is also much much better in this class. Its just like Eric Decosta said in that podcast

there's a tradeoff though when you're reaching - there's got to be at least comparable levels of play for the value to be acceptable when you reach on the "more important position" and im not sure there is that comparable level of skill between kolton miller and the guys i listed

i just think there's no way the ravens take a guy likely graded with a 2nd round grade over guys who may have top 10 grades... if they were to do that id be bummed because that seems ridiculous and short-sighted and a lousy way to run a franchise that's short on elite talent

There are like 4-5 tackles id take over Miller. If we take him in the 1st round I'm going to be so pissed.

yeah he's the 4th tackle on my board but he's the 9th olineman - id be livid if we took him in the 1st round given the talents at other positions that would 100% be available if the 3 tackles ahead of him on the board went ahead of our pick

Im shocked you still have Orlando Brown ranked ahead of him. If he is one of the 3 ahead of him. You should rewatch some of his tape. Hes not as bad as i first remember

I still wouldn't do it, no matter the position he plays. There will still be 30 players better than him and it's not like we couldn't used them.

I still have Orlando brown ahead of him - with players like Brown my from on previous years is to drop them slightly but mostly not alter their positioning unless something incredible comes out - dalvin Cook dropped about 5 spots last year on my board, Tim Williams dropped about 4-5 spots also and they both went later

We’re not party to interviews so I try and avoid media speculation on whether they drop or not and I still see the same things on film with Brown that I saw before

But even if I did have brown ranked below miller I’d still have 7 olinemen and 44 players ranked ahead of miller - You could make an argument if the only options left were in the same ballpark but in my opinion the difference in prospect grade between miller and who will be available (even in a trade down scenario) is vast

Yeah ive got:
McGlinchey , Williams, Brown, Crosby, and Jones (barely) all above him. Might even take Okorafor over him, but Eluemunor is enough of a project for us right now I guess.

I'm very preferential towards big maulers, even if they are a little less technically sound, because most of the time they can be coached up, and we do well with that. I guess I wouldn't mind taking Miller if he can add a good amount of weight..it would definitely do him some favors. He just gets pushed around too easily.

I like kolton miller as a prospect - I feel like I should say that given how I’ve kinda ragged on the idea of him the last while - I’d even be happy to have him in Baltimore

However, if we eschew prospects that in my view are vastly more talented/higher graded for him in the 1st round then that’s gonna be a challenging pill for me to swallow

I’d root for him because he’d be a raven but I won’t lie i can foresee that pick in the 1st disillusioning me with the organisation a bit

I think ive learned to always expect the unexpected with the Ravens in the draft for better or worse. We all hated Stanley as a prospect from what i remember and im not sure anyone other than @29BmoreBird22 expected the Humphrey pick

I liked both Stanley and Humphrey. Stanley was my pick in the Forum Mock and Humphrey was my target (had the Seahawks) last year. Ended up taking Tre White due to Humphrey being taken a couple spots in front of me.

I thought Stanley would be the better run blocker out of the gate due to the offense he played in at Notre Dame. Not to take anything away from Laremy Tunsel, becasue I liked him a lot as well.

You are definitely not remembering Stanley pre draft around here well. We even had a bandwagon Stanley thread. I wanted him at 6 since the end of NFL season, still think he was the best tackle prospect since Tyron Smith.

I seem to remember a lot of opposition to the idea of drafting Stanley. I don't remember everyone who was On board with me supporting that we should draft him ( or everyone I was On board with) but I know plenty of folks were adamant that we not take him.

True, because Tunsil was a mauler but they didn't realise Stanley in running game was the rare kind of player.

Im probably thinking really early in the process then maybe. I still think he was one of the more polarising guys for us regardless. There was a lot of debate with him at least

exactly, I do remember that bandwagon. My main concern was that Tunsil was more a finesse blocker in the running game and it probably stemmed from the offense he was in at Ole Miss.
