Explain to me then the statement that 'accuracy may not be in Lamar's DNA' please? There's no rationale to explain the DNA aspect of it unless you believe in the stupid and idiotic 'Bell curve theory' right? While he may have innocently made that remark you immediately know that's what he thinks of black QBs inherently. At least that's my view on it.
I respectfully disagree. The phrase not in one's DNA is pretty common, especially in the sports world. Players even use the phrase themselves.
"How did you manage to come back from a 20 point deficit and win?"
"Giving up is just not in my DNA."
As for Charlie, I don't know the guy personally, so I couldn't say for sure whether I thought he was a racist or not. But I can say that I've never heard him say anything that sounded racist. I'm sure if he had, it would be all over Twitter in an instant and he'd be forced into an apology and probably never seen or heard on an NFL-related broadcast again.
Look at that announcer from San Francisco who was talking about how it was difficult for a linebacker to quickly recognize the ball in Lamar's hands because his hands are more similar in color to the ball than a white man's hands. That statement blew up (even though I don't think he meant it in a racist way).
But we're talking about Charley Casserly here. I'm thinking he may have been referencing the fact that Lamar Jackson had never completed a season with a completion percentage over 60%....until this season. Is it possible that Charlie didn't even bother to check his completion percentage from this year? I think it's totally possible. I don't think he's that great of an analyst. Certainly wasn't a good GM. But I don't think I can accuse the guy of being a racist just based on that "DNA" statement. Just my opinion.
