I’m a little surprised it’s taking this long and we haven’t heard more about his contact. However, I think that’s a byproduct of Lamar’s representation, specifically having his family involved. I don’t buy into the crazy rumors or injury concerns. Just getting the two sides on the same page, which takes longer without the appropriate agents who also double as lawyers.

Anything could happen, but my guess is that there's no contract/extension this year.
 
I will say as far as rumors go that I can rarely trust them because the Ravens are so tight lipped.

Remember Earl Thomas? We heard the story about his wife and then the whole practice incident, but when he got cut, we hear about how he would sleep in meetings, not show up because he was getting a car wash, etc.

If it doesn't come from Zriebac, I don't trust it.

also the incident with his brother and his wife only came out about a month later too

ravens and lamar likely to be even more sealed than usual because there's no agent involved either to leak stuff strategically (not that that stuff usually happens in ravens negotiations because i think agents realise they're more likely to have better negotiations with the ravens if they dont do stuff like that because the front office here hates leaks)

shame we really only have one good sports writer that truly follows the team, but that comes from being a small market and losing the good ones to larger markets, for the most part.

no it was worse - he decided not to come to practice or meetings so he could go and get an impromptu car wash lol

One of the most interesting parts of the story at the time was that the players basically kicked him off the team - didn’t matter at that point what the coaches or front office thought of him the players didn’t want him around
 
These days don't read any other Ravens forums than this one, but I just had to browse around to see what crazy shit people are drumming up based on Lombardi's stilly story. Oh my. "I heard Lamar was abducted and anal probed by aliens before the Miami game and Greg Roman is secretly part of the Crab People mind controlling the entire Ravens team trying to get them to lose" would sound pretty reasonable compared to what is already out there.

Well I think the only reason Roman hasn’t been or will be fired is his relationship with Lamar. If that’s the case then it is certain the Ravens want to keep Lamar .

I thought this one was the only one that had some truth to it. lol

Soon Lombardi will elaborate on the story and then it will pop up all over youtube.
 
tells you just how crazy the season was that i forgot completely about this utterly insane play from the week 2 game against the chiefs:



the all-22 is even crazier btw - this is an all-out blitz with lamar hot and his 2nd and 3rd read both trip and stumble (andrews falls over and proche trips into his break)

lamar goes through 3 reads and then his run threat pulls the DBs off hollywood and he makes a side-arm jump pass to throw the ball 25 yards in the air lol

also i guess this is technically cover-0 - and we had a great call against it but andrews and proche both trip

complete and utter insanity and i cant believe it wasnt included in the "top 10" ravens plays of 2021 compilation i watched the other day
 
Is Lamar going to play on his 5th year option?
Is Baker going to play on his 5th year option?
Do the Steelers have any plan whatsoever for QB in 2022?
