Sounds like the Ravens are in a really rough spots. Lots of teams want Lamar, but not for the minimum two first AND 230 + guaranteed….

I hope this doesn’t blow up in Lamar’s face, kinda like the Levveon Bell situation when he ending up taking less money to play for the jets. If Lamar plays on the tag next year and gets hurt again, it’s going to really hurt his value

Aka , Lamar’s agent is essentially the NFLPA and they are holding the Ravens hostage in attempt to make fully guaranteed deals the normal.

That would be a great situation, and maybe Lamar really doesn't want all that money after all.

So this is the new trend? NFLPA acting as player agents? From a players perspective I suppose this is a good thing but the salary structures (and I use that term lightly) will explode.

If you don't think there a are plenty of teams who would happily give up 2 firsts and the contract you're dreaming. 2 firsts is the going rate for a good WR or CB in the trade market. A good QB will generate about 10 times as many wins.

The path the Ravens are going down here is crazy, but it looks inevitable. You can't keep pouring money into the safety position if you're paying an expensive QB, after all.

All reporting says the opposite ,everybody wants Lamar , no body wants to give up capital and 250 million fully guaranteed. With the guarantees being the problem

I imagine so, at least with the big names. They are heavily invested in changing the fully guaranteed narrative.

I think that's speculation rather than reporting.

If they did it for Watson, teams will do it for Lamar. It wasn't just a Browns outlier thing, plenty of teams were willing to give up a lot of money and picks for Watson despite the baggage. Cleveland just went a bit further to get it done. I think that will happen again.

Yeah I pretty much assumed that the union has been in Lama’s ear holes considering the scope of this deal. More then likely why he did not hire an agent to begin with.
