Lamar Jackson

Holy shit Richard Sherman still says he’s not mvp lmao

Edit ok; he’s saying split it Lamar and CMC
Id take Hill over CMC if I was voting for anyone other than Lamar.

I think what's funny to me is that earlier in the season, when Tua was mountig his own MVP case, Dolphins fans went hard to let us know Tua wins without Tyreek and does better when he's not in the game.

As soon as it became clear Tua wouldn't win, they got back on the Tyreek train.

Yea, hasn’t Ray Rice had similar production to CMC, he was never mentioned
Honestly I have no clue , but I love CMC. I feel like Ravens fans are shitting on him because of Richard Sherman lol, but I’d kill to have a CMC on our team. 49ers crushed that trade

I don’t really hate on Tua like most. I think he is a really good Qb when healthy. Hill is such a game changer though, immediately elevates any QB he is playing with.

He was awesome for 4 years, fell off a cliff quickly after the Super Bowl. Had 2 years with 2000+ scrimmage yards. Even if there wasn't a lift catastrophe, he didn't look like he could get back. Got too big to cut effectively or be a passing threat like before.

CMC is great but missed quite a lot of play in his career due to injuries.

We've gotten so lax with our grades of QBs. There's really only ever 2-4 elite QBs at any given time.

Remember when the league was ruled by basically just Brady, Manning and Big Ben? Guys will creep in and start to replace them because of course they will. We had Rodgers and Luck before he hung them up. Now we have Mahomes and Lamar and Burrow.

BUT for some reason, we talk about Allen, and Herbert, and Tua and Hurts like they're even close to the other guys. This is a new phenomenon.

Imagine 8 years ago saying yeah Phillip Rivers and Matt Ryan are elite top of the line QBs. That would've been ridiculous at the time and certainly is now. It's ok for QBs to just be good. Not everyone is elite.

Is Allen really that far off? He’s done some great things in the league that would put him tops in the league IMO. He had three straight years of 35 + TD passes and has been to the divisional/ championship round several times

allen is definitely in that elite group with mahomes, lamar and burrow

herbert's been stuck with the chargers - have to think that with competent coaching he'll ascend too
stafford's the undersung guy that should be involved in these discussions but never is...

but for me there's a clear top 4 right now

then there's a bunch of guys in that next group who are either clearly consistently in this next group or fluctuate but occasionally show elite qb play that makes you think they'll break into the other group (herbert, stafford, dak, lawrence, hurts)

after that it gets much more complicated when you get to 10th and on

To me Allen is just so ridiculously up and down. Far to inconsistent to be considered elite. Elite guys don't go 4 game stretches playing like ass, even if they put out some absolutely magical performances too.

To me, Josh Allen is prime Joe Flacco + because of his athleticism. Flacco would've been around a top 10 QB in his prime. Allen is probably in 5-10 range, but certainly not elite.

I respect this but I certainly don't have Allen as better than Stafford.
