Lamar Jackson

We may have seen Lamar's last game as a Raven when he played briefly in the Denver game before he got injured.

Im beginning to believe he is refusing to go out unless he is 100% healed. If its 95 % , he ain't gonna do it . If we had a long term contract with him, this would never be happening. If he was 50% , with a contract ,he would play.

I do believe Harbaugh will ask the team to move on from Lamar even though Lamar likely saved him his HC job.

In a way I can't blame Lamar but I really do think his time as a Raven is done.

This is about as factual as Ronnie Stanley is never going to play again. There is just no real information on this, outside of a bunch of media trying to toot their own horn.

Well Ronnie has missed what 6-7 games this year. Lets see how he can finish a full season.

I am 90% sure that Lamar will be a Raven next season, but only 50 - 50 on whether it is franchise tag or extension
I hope you are right. Look I want Lamar and the addition of some top receivers. Roquan too. With that roster, assuming we are lucky on the injury front, we can win a Super Bowl and compete with the Chiefs,Bills and Bengals. We must get a NO 1 receiver.

We played well earlier in the season when Bateman was healthy, but our defense was still getting it's shit together due to a lot of youth on the backend and injuries from last season. We are better on defense but still have some issues that need to be resolved. We absolutely need another WR to go with Bateman and lets hope we don't have a major carryover injury that goes into next season.

No. 1 receivers aren't necessary to win. you can have 2 or 3 no. 2 WRs, but I still believe Bateman has a lot of potential and can be a number 1 WR.

Dhop ! Ill take him even though hes aging.

EDC not paying him market value before the Watson deal is what got us here.

My hunch is that EDC overplayed his hand. Trying to squeeze out a team friendly deal.. then Watson fully guaranteed happen. Ain’t no going back after that.
I think EDC wanted to get it done. Lamar rightfully played the long game here. He got some good advice.

Flacco apologist or not, he's absolutely right, Lamar is not going to get 10 draft picks. That being said, I'm not sure which way RMC leaned pre 2018, but it's not important regarding this trade.
For Flacco, its pretty clear. Elite playoff QB, pretty terrible regular season QB. Once you get to a point where you can't consistently make the playoffs anymore, it makes being an elite playoff QB irrelevant.
Was 100% fine with him being gone.
I wasn't 100% on board with the idea of Lamar specifically being the replacement, mostly because I didn't think his style of play landed well in terms of long term success and what I personally like from high-end QBs.

But he's obviously been better than most people thought he would.

And I'm also in the class of people who largely thinks pretty much nobody is "untradeable". Though I think Mahomes is about as close to it as it gets in the modern NFL.

If either Lamar or Roquan is here under the Tag, Peters is gone unless he takes a super team-friendly deal. I have reservations about him being brought back to begin with.

Its a WR and Corner offseason for me. Dline and Interior Oline are "needs" but I think I can get fillers there with cheaper veteran signings or mid-to-late round draft picks.

At least one or two of these groups pretty much has to be "neglected" if somebody is playing on the tag. There's just not enough cap space or draft capital to do it in one offseason.

I'm also pretty close to coming aboard the "we should keep Powers" train, but I don't know how much that will cost.
100% agreed
