Lamar Jackson

yeah there was a bunch of hype
but i honestly think in hindsight, how much of that was because pat mahomes was pat mahomes?
Well every coach in pat mahomes orbit was getting next level offers at the time, so yeah I’d say mahomes got him the job and kliff just lost the job after being given a very fair shot at it

How? I am not in the NFL coaching orbit quite yet.

I hate that we basically don’t know anything until tomorrow. Also allegedly he had to be medically cleared to play, I’d figure we’d heard about that but I guess not? Or does that mean that he hasn’t been cleared. I’d assume Harbaugh’s low key strategy wouldn’t make that public anyway

Now we're getting the actual reverse reports on Lamar. Now Rapsheet is saying Lamar himself is telling people he will play this week, but people inside the organization are not so sure. And his implication was that those people can see that he's not a fully healthy Lamar Jackson

Kliff as an oc?
has he shown he can coordinate a good offence?

im not sure ive seen anything i like from his years in the NFL and pretty sure he was carried in college by pat mahomes...

no, I'd rather keep Kliff away from Lamar.
At Houston he was the the co-offensive coordinator and QB coach that led CFB in Pts/yds per game. All with Case Keenum
At Texas A&M was the OC with Manziel the year he won the Heisman. Won offensive coordinator of the year.
At Tech he helped Mayfield(a walk on) turn into a star. Even when he was starting random QBs named Jeff Duffey, they never finished worse than 23rd in scoring offense during his time with Tech. I'm guessing Pat Mahomes does not become the guy we know today without Kliff.

I think its pretty clear he is not head coach material. He never put it together at any level. But it seems unfair to chalk up his success to Mahomes. Seems like he really has a way with QBs and offensive production when that's his focus. There also aren't a lot of experienced options out there when it comes to hiring a new OC. At least currently.

Where are you seeing the Rapsheet report?

Sorry for the triple post, but I think the better news from today (and probably only) is what we can speculate from Lamar’s IG post lol. He’s fucking playing boys
