Ravens Ring of Honor
yes. Believe they also needed the 2 point conversion to tie it up
I was at the Seattle Seahawk playoff game where RG3 went down and tore his acl.
That was painful to watch

Are you talking about Lamar hold out in the off-season? Or a Lamar playoff hold out? If it’s playoffs I disagree, sure fire way to lose the locker room if he 80% but doesn’t want to play. Also 23 million reasons he should be out there . I do think it’s irrelevant and he actually is just that hurt and about to have surgery. I don’t buy the contract stuffIf the ravens wanted to ask this of Lamar then they should’ve offered him more guaranteed money and locked him up, period. They didn’t pay him what he asked when other teams would have, they have no right to ask Lamar to risk his future when they don’t hold the rights to it.
Yeah Lamar’s not playing and I doubt anyone in the Ravens org is asking him to play before he’s ready. All of the brace talk is coming from former players who are now commentators. The team and coaches, hopefully, are focused on preparing for the bengals, not paying attention to all of the BS.I’m seeing stuff like people saying Lamar should play with a partially torn PCL because of playing on a torn MCL. These are not the same thing and have different purposes in the anatomy of the knee ligaments. ACL and PCL are ligaments that relate directly to each other along with the LCL and MCL which are more related to each other than the former PCL and ACL. Sure you could put a brace on it but then what if he gets targeted at that knee and you damn well know some Bengals guy is going to go for that knee man. I’m not a Lamar homer here but I think both the Ravens and Lamar are playing this smart because:
1. If he’s your QB you don’t want him injured next season
2. If he’s not your QB and you want to trade him you don’t injure him
3. If you’re Lamar without a long term contract you must be crazy playing on that unless you get a little further
We almost beat the Bengals if not for some stupid stuff. I think Lamar plays if we make the AFCCG.
I can respect this, but it seems that you accept Lamar's account of it being a near grade 3 sprain. What if that's the dispute? What if it's only a low 2 or even minor sprain that Lamar has? We DON'T know as fans. His perspective doesn't really change: what if I injure it, whatever it is, more severely? Where's my contract then? - I don't like to think so negatively of him. But it's not outside the realm of possibility and he's not wrong for that. This is too touchy to really judge who is right or wrong.I would look at the Ravens organization differently. The same way I am looking at some of the "fans" of the Ravens that play into most of the media narratives of their own QB. The fans that want a franchise QB who can't go (knowing what we know about Lamar and how competitive he is, does it make sense for him not to want to play if he COULD?) to risk injury and potentially put is in a hole for years to come.
I have been a fan since 2003 and for years I have always said how smart of an organization ours was/is. I know what bad QB play looks like.
One would think we would want to protect this guy as much as possible on the field. One WOULD think.
God i hope so, Lamar era fans are the worstWould anyone here jump off our Bandwagon if Lamar left? Because it certainly seems like it.
If we made it to the Super Bowl , would Lamar sit on the sideline? If he was half dead, he would suit up.Yeah Lamar’s not playing and I doubt anyone in the Ravens org is asking him to play before he’s ready. All of the brace talk is coming from former players who are now commentators. The team and coaches, hopefully, are focused on preparing for the bengals, not paying attention to all of the BS.
I like the thought of LJ returning for the AFCCG, hopefully he continues to rehab, and hopefully we make it to that game!
He got called out bad here, Mike Vick says put a brace on it, he played a whole season on a sprained MCL
It’s not a hold out. He’s just injured lol, that’s the thing. Like yeah a player who has secured the bag for life, if he’s able to go out there for a shot at a boat then brace up and go play. But this years contract isn’t his career payday, that’s next year, and the ravens had many chances to pay him market value and they never did, the only reported number we’ve seen was 133m guaranteed or something like that and you know damn well Lamar wasn’t accepting that and he shouldn’t. If they won’t commit to him then he has the right to not risk further injury. Are you talking about Lamar hold out in the off-season? Or a Lamar playoff hold out? No I’m saying he’s injured. So you are saying he could be holding out?
No I’m saying he’s injured.
Not playing because you’re injured isn’t holding out.
If the Super Bowl was Sunday Night against Cincy,do you think Lamar would play?No I’m saying he’s injured.
Not playing because you’re injured isn’t holding out.
But if he had the bag he could playNo I’m saying he’s injured.

He actually tore his right ACL as a freshmen in college. Ngata was the the one who hit him in the 2012 game where he sprained his LCL. He actually continued to play in that game without doctors permission. Then in 2013 he tore the right ACL and a LCL, which is what pretty much ended his career. He couldn’t win for losing with injuries.the first year he had 1 concussion, had the LCL injury where he missed one game and than was playing hobbled the next few games. It was obvious he shouldn't be playing than tears his acl in the playoffs and that was pretty much it. It ruined his entire career.
He did go back in the game for 1 play without doctors permission, but than was pulled immediately after that. Being a Ravens fan you should remember this was on the final drive of the game. The TD put the skins in OT and then they won the toss and had a long kickoff return that put them right into fg range.
This is just an assumptionBut if he had the bag he could play
Could he? We don’t know. Either way, if the team wants to ask some shit like that they better have committed to him.But if he had the bag he could play
Well so much for Sean Payton coaching Lamar ! I can see Harbs right now telling DeCosta and Biscotti that he doesn't want Lamar back. Just look at Harbaugh's face and you can tell there is a problem.Let the slander continue.
Easier for this front office to trade him![]()
I don't think many members of this board would, but I could be wrong.Would anyone here jump off our Bandwagon if Lamar left? Because it certainly seems like it.
