Agree about the players, but I wouldn’t be surprised if major coaching personnel decisions are worked as a group that includes Steve and EDC.

My point is SBs are an accomplishment for sure, but not the end all measure in discussions of the GOAT. And all of it is subjective of course, but if you look at the whole package Brady falls well short in more than one category. For me not in the conversation as the GOAT.

I wanted a younger guy to match Lamar’s energy and challenge the conventional NFL offensive scheme. Monken very much seems like a boring, risk adverse, old school kinda guy. Hopefully that’s a freezing cold take, but watching his offense dominate inferior athletes in college doesn’t really do much for me

At this point I know zero about Monken, but the old guy young guy thing seems to have worked pretty good for the Chiefs. There’s no need for Todd to chase LJ or whoever around the field so I’ll take experience over energy any day.

I get what you’re saying, just don’t think “challenge(ing) the conventional…..” really matters as defenses will figure anything out by tournament time. What’s important to me is to have an OC and the personnel to execute a balanced attack so when they cheat against the run you can pass effectively, and vice versa. May seem like an over simplification but it’s really what it all boils down to.

I also know nothing about him, just a hunch, but who knows he maybe the shake up we needed.
 
So the click-bait draft stuff is starting to appear. One with us trading Lamar to Atlanta came out this morning on CBS by Chris Trapasso - no idea who he is. But he has us trading Lamar to the Falcons, getting the 8th pick, selecting QB CJ Stroud, plus next year's 1st and 2nd rounder in 2024, plus a 2nd and 4th in 2025. We also keep our 1st rounder this year where he has us selecting CB Christian Gonzalez. Do I need to say, please and thank you?! I would think they might want to exchange spots in the 2nd or 3rd this year too and then I would throw in dancing a jig and saying please and thank you again.

well if we can't sign him than this may not be bad. I still am not a fan of Ohio State quarterbacks. Outside of Fields and I'm still not sold on him, none of them have ever been good. Never is a long time not to have a good qb.

There's no way in hell Stroud is making it out to the 8th pick. Honestly I'd be shocked if he made it past the Colts at 4. That's the absolute furthest he'd slide. Picking QB at 8th overall we'd be looking at Anthony Richardson, who I'd be excited for but is a gamble.
