Lamar Jackson

I certainly won't.

Since coming into the league he has the 2nd highest QBR which takes everything into account and the 3rd highest win rate (over 70%). Yes he has only won 1 playoff game, but lets not forget some of the issues that happened during those games.

I don't want to see Lamar go and I won't care if it's 80% guaranteed. It's not like he isn't going to see the end of the contract.
It's all about the structure of the contract and we will be fine if he is extended.
Oh, sorry I thought that said 90, not 80, yeah, I'm fine with 80, I just thought 90 was a bit too much

I suspect 200m guaranteed may get it done on a 5 yr deal
I have not heard that Lamar wants 200m guaranteed, nor have I heard that the ravens have offered anywhere near that number. All I’ve heard is speculation, rumor, and assumptions based on current market values. But I just don’t see the ravens giving him 80% guaranteed.

The last big contract like this was the Flacco deal. I think he got about 25% guaranteed. I know things are different now and Lamar is a different player, blah blah, but the ravens have a history of being fair but not stupid. In other words they are tight asses. Lol. They are not going to overpay.

They will give Lamar a fair deal, I trust them to do that. If Lamar won't accept, they will trade him. Also, Flacco had better value to the franchise when he signed, because he had led them to 3 AFCCGs, and a SB win (Would've been 2 if Lee Evans could catch). Lamar has an MVP, but that doesn't necessarily benefit the team.

I like Lamar, but if I'm being honest, I would much prefer a Flacco. No offense to the Lamar fans out there, but Flacco made me a Ravens fan, and it will take a lot to convince me that Lamar in his first 5 years was in any way better than Flacco, so Lamar does not deserve the contract (for the time) that Flacco got.

It will take a lot to convince you that Lamar's first 5 years were better than Flacco's first 5 years?

You’re gonna lose some brownie points for that post. To the pit of misery with you sir! Lol

This has to be one of the stupidest statements I read on this board.

Scratch that. The stupidest one.

He was good for this team at the time. 2008 - 2012 was the best years for him. He was $$ in the playoffs which is why I tend to agree with you. Lamar is a special talent but he hasn’t achieved the TEAM success Flacco had in his first 5 years.

At least my troll posts are funny.

Imma give this 2 out of 10.

Do better.

I can respect it

My point is this... Flacco had more value tot he TEAM then Lamar has had. Like 2X as much! I know that doesn't really equate to money, but he was better for the Ravens.

all of it is speculation at this point

I wouldn't say they are right asses...

Ronnie Stanley
Marlon Humphrey
Marcus Williams
Roquan Smith

even Earl Thomas

Regardless of who you think was/is the more valuable QB to the team, 2008 through 2012 were some of the best years to be a Ravens fan, like tons better than the last 5 years.
Exactly. And that's what convinced me to be a Ravens fan, so...
