Lamar Jackson

If he had an agent teams could legally negotiate with that person beginning today.
I'd have to look at the rules. I think technically, since he's not a UFA, they can't even legally negotiate until the league year begins.

I don't think him having an agent means anything. UFAs without an agent can still negotiate with teams starting in 5 minutes. Its just nothing becomes official until Wednesday.
But Lamar is in a different camp than those guys, since he's not a UFA.

For those that haven't see, Schefter gave details on the Ravens offer. Nothing particularly newsworthy about it, other than just confirms that the Ravens offer is massive:

Definitely a good offer in that case. Does make you wonder that if they're willing to guarantee $175M for injury, if bumping the guaranteed at signing up to that would make some headway. I'm almost sure Lamar is still pining for more than Watson, but I also don't blame the Ravens for putting their foot down until the market is pushed one way or another.

I don't think it matters.
I think its pretty clear... either Lamar wants fully gtd, or he wants more gtd $ than Watson. Its one of those two things.

I seriously doubt if they bumped the gtd $ from $175M to even $200M that he'll take the deal. At least not today.

Best thing that can happen is we get an offer sheet this week. Then we'll see what's what.

Well I for one, would be happy to give him fully gtd. I'll give him a 4 year, 20m contract.

So who is left in the possible Lamar hunt? Raiders gone now. I guess Jets would be NO. 1 if they dont sign Rodgers.

If they sign Rodgers, who is left??

Well the teams that would make "some sense"...
Patriots, Commanders, Falcons, Texans, Colts, Lions, Bucs.

Of that group... I think half those teams couldn't structure an offer sheet we couldn't match. I think the Texans will just draft somebody (and maybe the Colts).

I still think the Falcons and Colts are probably the two I'd be most concerned about.
