Lamar Jackson

To save face imo , Lamar will accept less than what he is demanding to go to another team and the Ravens will be overjoyed to get rid of him .

Nobody wants a player that doesn’t want to play for you .
Lamar doing that isn't saving face... it's just leading him to additional ridicule for his handling of this whole thing. Ain't no way in hell he's taking a pay hit or we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

All I can tell you is I found myself infuriated with him watching Tennessee tape. Even if you don't have time to go watch games. Or even if you just don't want to, go watch a Cedric Tillman highlight video and tell me if those deep passes look good

college deep balls dont normally tell you much about a QB tbh

but even so... he's a 25 yr old coming off a november ACL tear... it's possible he's 26 before he has an offseason practice (and hopefully becomes a starter best case) - he's also not got great arm talent, had some issues sailing the ball over the middle of the field and played in a really simple and unique offence

he makes me feel comfortable that he might be a long-term backup and carve out a career for himself but i dont think he's a guy that id ever describe as adding value to my team

got the look of a classic game manager type as his ceiling

I would put myself in the sad situation of optimistically watching the game melt away in the fourth quarter after our defense keeps it close…. Again and again and again….
Truthfully I’m already talking myself into a quick passing offense featuring Huntley and our (hopefully new) playmakers in space. I’m at optimist at heart and I love my Ravens. I’ll never learn lol plus it can’t be worse than watching Boller, Redman, some Flacco years etc lol

if huntley's our starting QB in 2023 im not talking myself into anything except a high draft pick

in 2022 that would have got us a top 10 pick...
I just have a feeling that we'd be outside the top 10 and end up around 14-17. The defense and Tucker alone will win us some. Just think the team is built too well to do that badly and even if Lamar is traded, the picks won't be enough to move up. Who knows though...

he's not lying lol
they grade how they grade

they normally have QBs in their top 32 every year (maybe not last year) - doesnt mean they'll take them... but also doesnt mean they'll rule out taking them

like obviously he's playing it somewhat coy because it's not in their interests to "give anything away" but based on the QBs they're talking about i'd find it hard to believe that they wouldnt have at least 3 QBs in their top 31 this year...
I thought in years where we're not looking for QBs they don't even go on the board

I thought in years where we're not looking for QBs they don't even go on the board

they'll still get graded and put on the board like any other players
with the expectation that any QB with a 1st round grade on their board will either be long gone by the time they are picking, they need a QB or they're in prime position for a team to trade up and give them a haul to take a QB

there's no downside to having QBs on your board

How long is the stick that’s up this dude’s ass
