The reason why after the draft has always been a hard sell is for monetary reasons. The Ravens have $32M on their cap with the ability to make more room. Another team would have to pitch something the Ravens couldn’t match and that’s almost out of the question at this point. Not one team out there has held enough cap open that we couldn’t match.

They arent a qb stat until you watch his games and notice that majority of his ints come in 2nd half, therefore he fking that money up

For sure. I totally thought about that. But it doesn't really hurt any team to offer. They don't currently have him and if they offer and we match nothing is different outside some of their GMs time.

But I'm sure there are plenty of people skeptical the Ravens aren't interested in moving on (not fearing a match). Or are taking Jackson's trade request seriously.

What's everyone's best guess on the Lamar question?

Are both sides ready to move on?
Is Lamar done with the Ravens? Are they done with him?

For me, I'm presuming the Ravens still want Lamar long term because he's by miles their best chance of success over the next 4-5 years and I don't think teams plan any further than that.

As for Lamar, I've no idea if he's still open to returning or not.

I don’t think Lamar is staying in Baltimore. I’m kind of thinking there might be a handshake deal between Lamar, the Ravens and another team for a trade either before or during the first round of this year’s draft. I just can’t see him as a Raven anymore after the press conference drama a few days ago. It’s just not looking good at all in my opinion

Makes a lot of sense, especially if you’re a player or two + QB away from being super competitive. Might as well save that lower pick this year to score a quality player

which lamar would have to accept or the ravens just match it

which means that if a team wants lamar, they're going to have to actually trade for him to incentivise the ravens not to match... that's gonna be more than 2 1st rounders (otherwise why would the ravens do it)

only way the ravens let a team get lamar via an offer sheet is if the relationship is too broken and we already traded up and got our guy on draft night
