Lamar Jackson

The reasons cited by Arthur Blank were entirely different. He believed Lamar was injury prone and may not be a viable long-term option as QB1 for them. Very short-sighted.
Yeah he wasn’t doubting his ability to play just his ability to stay healthy, instead of “you can’t have a rb playing qb they need to pass!” The falcons owner thought “Can’t have a rb playing qb, he’ll get injured!”

Really? That's kinda dumb then, if that's the real reason and he told the truth.

Basically saying "we cool with Ridder." Unbelievable, but at the same time, believable..
I really don’t think any of that is true. Every team would sign Lamar to a large contract even with injury concerns. IMO it all came down to owner collusion and the guaranteed contract. Ownership unified on the Lamar, Burrow, Hurtz deals….I still think a guaranteed contract gets the job done and Lamar is no longer a Raven. But hats off to the owners for coming together on that one and keeping us in the game lol

Extremely plausible, no make that likely that the owners colluded on guaranteed contracts. I don't think Arthur Blank's excuse for not signing Lamar is mutually exclusive to him colluding with other owners. Both can be entirely true and probably are.

So they got in a huddle and collectively said "OK boys, all together, let's not be stupid fux"? lol

I don’t understand the focus on the MVP thing, couldn’t care less. What I want to see are some playoff wins, hopefully a SB appearance and SB MVP for Lamar. The rest of it is just meaningless window dressing.
Yea mvp shit wack. I want us to win but i lowkey want tua or someone else to go off so they can stop mentioning lamar.

Man I’m so petty I wish Lamar had at least half of Gus’s touchdowns

I would love an honest case for why X player deserves the MVP over Lamar…. It truly doesn’t feel like there is one. Lamar’s got the national attention, stats, and his team locked into the number one seed… feels like a wrap on the MVP
