Lamar Jackson

Lamar feels in such command of this offense that it’s going to be a real gut punch if Monken starts getting HC interviews and departs. He’s been through so many OCs and we’ve finally found one that can keep both parts of the offense humming (ignoring KC last year…). Lamar is obviously the star here, but Todd is in his bag right now too.
it would be tough to lose him but I believe there will be others that may be more likely to get the job.

on a pure personality basis i cant believe todd monken will interview that well with owners for an HC role which is to our advantage

i think monken's greatest quality is his humility - he and lamar mesh really well because they understand each other's strengths

monken designed an offence that both takes advantage of lamar's positives, limits his weaknesses and also gives him the tools to operate the offence in a way that gets the offence into advantageous positions and trusting him to do that

lamar's trusting that monken's designs and the playcalls are gonna put him in good positions and so he's doing less hero balling so far and not checking into a bunch of qb runs

Agreed Mangini's take pisses me off more than Nick. Nick gets like that when anybody is talked about in same breath as Mahomes. Mangini legit thinks Lamar is a mediocre passer.
Mangina has always been Lamar’s biggest hater. Most guys were like “let’s see how he progresses” but Mangini has drawn a hard line that says “I don’t like it”.

Really I think he’s just mad that he’s this “mangenius” [profanity deleted] but probably couldn’t call an offense for a guy like Lamar, because he’s an old arrogant fart who would never evolve.

There’s a reason he was done in the nfl as soon as his head coaching gig failed.

Rex was better

They already do

Can't really disagree with Nick. None of this means anything until playoffs. Many of us said the same thing.
Well we can definitely disagree with Mangini though. This guy is a pure hater, so Lamar throwing for 350 and succeeding to win shootouts throwing on stacked boxes is actually a bad thing because we’ll get a false sense of confidence in his throwing ability and we’ll move away from our strengths in a playoff game. If we failed to win because the run game got shut down he’d be criticizing Lamar saying he can only play from a lead. This guy is pure scum

According to Nick the power rankings should be

1.) Chiefs
2.) Bengals (2-4) because 3 years ago Burrow was the only guy who beat mahomes "in a game that mattered"
3.) Rams (1-4) because Stafford then beat Burrow "ina game that really matters"
4.) Jets (2-4) because Rodgers won a "game that really matters 10 years ago
5.) Colts (3-3) because yeah, Joe Flacco is the only other active SB winner Qb.

Since they can’t beat us I’m getting hit up with this

So this asshole lost his job and now will probably go to jail.

lol. He's so stupid I could actually see him thinking this.

You sure he doesn's have Dallas in there because they won 3 of 4 Super bowls in the early 90s

Nick Wright does this for engagement.

SAS says Lamar is the only qb without an excuse to lose to Mahomes. Guys we've made it. Media using Lamar for clicks.

I don't ask for much but blowing out the Chiefs on our way to winning a bowl and I could die happy. In their house and the cameras catch Taylor Swift giving Tucker neck

Mangini is usually too tough on Lamar, but I think in that clip he was actually shading the coaches for the game planning (KC AFCC). We've all said that a ton of times, why when you have established that you are a running team, come out in big games with the passing game plan? Stupid. But I think that's what Mangini was pointing to there, not being too critical of Lamar, but what he was asked to do instead of what they had shown they were good at.
