The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Jags edition

Bro, you can't be serious. Should he have tweeted this? Most likely not. But to go to this hyperbole? This ain't it chief.
Yeah, I'm totally serious. What Lamar wrote was vulgar and unprofessional to put it mildly and comes from the guy who is the face of the franchise. You can look the other way all you want but I think he should be called out for it.

I get what your saying. There’s a reason you never see things like this from the greats, they are above petty fan comments. He should not have done it, that being said the tweet is not the end of the world

People are always going to talk shit, that’s 90% of social media. He’s gotta be smarter, just stay away.
Hopefully, word will come out that his account got hacked. Other than that, this looks bad on his part.

I think it’s more likely that Lamar leaves the Ravens altogether. Him with Payton sounds like it would be a lot of fun to watch
I agree-truthfully I think the Ravens are better off with a QB like Trevor Lawrence or Daniel Jones. The coaches don't know what to do with Jackson.

I'm torn on the whole Roman vs. the players thing this week.

On one hand, execution was all off today. Lamar missed some big time downfield throws. The receivers dropped 7 balls total that probably would have changed the tune of the game.

On the other hand, I see what the personnel groupings are forcing Lamar to do. I see how often we have Ricard and Oliver out there running routes that get no separation (as expected) in key situations.

It's such a tough debate because I really want to see us open this offense up, but also understand the struggles with that due to just having some not so great personnel.

hindsight...

Would have been better for Josh Oliver to fall down at the one after the catch and run the clock down to :20 to :30 before kicking the fg to go ahead 22-20.

I don't advocate for that, but in this instance it may have been better.

tough to do that with the jags having 2 timeouts and the 2 minute warning and the ravens wouldnt have had the ability to get a new set of downs (without a penalty) - think the lowest we can get the clock in this scenario is just under a minute and force them to use both their timeouts...

i'd agree with the downing it if a 1st down allows us to run the clock out but it doesnt in this scenario

I think the whole operation just needs a facelift and a fresh start

id agree but i just dont think we have the personnel to change what we're doing

i think it's not a Roman thing at all - when we had a bunch of WRs last year (maybe the best WR group we've ever hard... or certainly up there when they were all playing) we played a bunch of 11 personnel and 12 personnel and 21 personnel and even 01 personnel at times with the poor RBs we had trotting out last year... he's playing the guys who are the best guys - it just happens that one of our best players on offence right now (and it's sad that this is the case but it is) is Ricard to he's going to play a bunch - id much rather we were able to substitute him more especially in situations where we want to be explosive passing the ball... but who are we taking him off the field for now that Bateman's gone for the year?

This is kind of where I'm at. I don't hate Roman as much as some here but sometimes, you just need a reset. I wonder if he's a victim of that more than anything.
