The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Jags edition

See, this is good for all of the cats that love to say, "a win is a win". That b.s. is foolishness! It's "how" you win that tells the truth. Last week, the Ravens got the "W" (I am grateful for that of course) but they struggled with the 3-6 Panthers, at home and after nearly 2 weeks of rest. So, based on that performance, I knew that this game would be no different against the Jaguars! I knew it! We need to face the music. The Raven's offense is mediocre. Mediocre! Nothing spectacular! Nothing dynamic or explosive! A few plays here or there or in this or that game but nothing consistent. Then the Raven's defense can't seem to close out poorer team than them. Painful combination.

They had one job at the end and the other team had no TOs...

Yes, the offense didn't make enough of the opportunities earlier but you're up a TD. DO SOMETHING. I remember plenty of worse situations where it was a 3 or 4 point games and many were real quick to blame the defense for folding...

For me the D has been improving for weeks. The offense continually struggles and I can't remember the last game we have had a great offensive showing. That's why I'm pissed off more at the offense. One of those redzone trips a td we wouldn't have this discussion.

In a bad offensive performance we've put up the 7th most points of teams that have played so far... guess why were not 6th*

Just an ugly performance. Offense couldn’t capitalize on opportunities. Defense couldn’t make a play when it mattered most.

Drops drops drops on offense. Lamar has to start connecting more consistently downfield.

Peters was terrible today. S duo looked late to everything today as well.

I thought Lamar had a much better second half passing than first half. I think the only huge miss I remember was Duvernay, but Duvernay pulled up. Would he have gotten it? I don't know. But he sure isn't getting it by pulling up.

Speaking of Duvernay- dude was pretty ass as a returner today and cost the Ravens field position pretty consistently. That's a pretty underrated aspect of the loss that I haven't seen talked about. You can't give up field position like that against good teams. Or bad teams, apparently.

One of those might have been on Chuck but not 100% sure.
To me looked like it was on chuck, Marcus had the flats and under and chuck should have gotten over quicker. Good play by Jacksonville, but chuck should have at least been in position to knock him out around the 5.
