ill see if i can find some clips of downs winning vertically for you - some of the games with sam howell in 2021 were a bit better in terms of deep shots - the virginia game in 2021 has one of the best catches of any of the WRs in the class

i think Addison's got more polish but i think they're somewhat similar but Downs plays bigger (despite being smaller) and we'll see when testing comes out but i think Downs should be faster and measure more explosively too - and it's not like Downs is a dunce with route running - he doesnt have much refinement but he's already got a real feeling for playing in the blind spot

i think the more i watch everyone though, it becomes clearer and clearer to me, that in my opinion, JSN and Zay Flowers clear everyone else

This combine is gonna be really insightful! Agree that Addison doesn't play strong. But also agree he simply won't bust. I think pairing him with Bateman would do wonders for our offense. But also agree that adding Flowers it JSN would also be incredible.

i wont be mad at all if addison is the pick at 22 - he's super safe and adds a weapon to this offence that it truly needs - just think he's got a somewhat capped ceiling

if he runs a 4.3 at the combine and does well in the agility and explosion testing then ill dive deeper to potentially reevaluate whether he needs to get bumped up a tier (likewise if Downs doesn't run as fast as i think he will then maybe he drops a little)

but right now, the only two WRs I have on the board with grades that would merit a pick at 22 are JSN and Flowers

you could argue basically any position except TE and I'd be able to rationalise it in some way lol

i can talk myself into DL, EDGE, CB, Nickel, QB (although this would send me through the gamut of emotions lol), OT, OG, RB (please no but also... i guess maybe), WR

really just LB, TE, true S and C that feel ridiculous (outside of FB and special teams lol)

According to Pickett, Addison is going to run in the 4.3s and also reported he has been timed at 23 mph.

yeah. However, teams do often let their QBs hand-pick receivers. If Addison is there, and their players of bigger need are gone, then expect them to take him.
 
If JSN tests well, he could have a shot of being number 1 for me. I'm expecting it to be bad though. And maybe that's just what we need to nab him.

How slow is slow for you?

Because I think he’s gonna test great in the agility drills and probably do well in the explosion ones too

Think it’s just the 40 where he might fall down a little (also possible he chooses not to run which would be frustrating) - what would you think would be a bad time that would make you worry?

idk. Hamilton ran a 4.7, and we drafted him and he's great anyways, so maybe like a 4.9. that would be really concerning.

My guess is he's not gonna run.... If he does, I think he puts up 2 attempts in 4.6s. If JSN puts up anything in the 4.5s I'd be very happy.
