Lamar won't want to stay. I mean we can try to force him with the exclusive tag but I just don't see it long term.

He has been ridiculously underappreciated by the organisation. It all turned out to be a sweet talk.
This is the other side of moving on from Lamar. It's not that complicated to understand why upper management may want to move back to something more traditional. It is also not complicated to understand the possibility that Lamar wants to run for the hills given what's happened here.

But you have to understand why we're saying it. It's not because Lamar isn't good. It's because we are incompetent in utilizing his all world talent to bring team success.

So the natural thing to say is keep the all world guy and replace the coaching. (This is what I'd advocate for)

But I can totally understand if Bisciotti and EDC just don't believe their best chance to win SBs with this highly talented roster is based around finding some perfect fit for LJ and they may be more confident in running a more traditional offense.

I don't see us trading Lamar but it's not a completely ridiculous idea to even think about

i just dont see how they could possibly be there philosophically - all the high octane offences in the league are non-traditional... like what would a "more traditional offence" even look like at this point?

i just also dont really agree with the premise that it's necessarily coaching anyway - think the offensive team-building has been suspect at one position (WR) and we got unlucky with the Bateman injury and it's knee-capped the entire offence... our personnel arent good enough to play any other way in my opinion

Absolutely Elli! We know the Bronco's defense is the #3 but good grief; can this Ravens offense get something going? After all, they (the Raven's offense) are supposed to be pros just like the Bronco's defensive players to-right?

And I agree this is the logical pushback. It's just so hard to know what the best thing to do to make this team better is because this season will go down as a total fail.

His record in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021 was better

Different rosters, different teams. The Saints went all in putting themselves in cap hell for it and got minimal success for it. Those rosters were loaded you did not have a young QB but an established top veteran and they were little more than an afterthought most years.

@UPennChem, Ross can't help himself. It's got to be some kind of man-crush or something with this coaching staff. Maybe they signed a ball for him or something. He refuses to consider that the players look lost because of coaching.
