Next Up: @ Bengals

Beautiful. He can't throw well with a healthy shoulder, better put AB in. The chances are pretty much the same with either.
Baker beat the Raiders with 2 days of practice right? How many days of practice would RG3 need to beat the Bengals?

Wow... CBS is giving us Kevin Harlan for this game. Pretty surprising but I'm assuming they did that thinking this would be for the division title which at this point is unlikely.

Because they witnessed a man almost die right in front of their eyes. Can't imagine that's easy to come back from.
Idk I'm not insensitive to this issue. I totally agreed with the decision to not play on Monday night. I even donated to Hamlin's charity (I do this for many causes not like this one was specific for some reason). But like we have close to 100 years of football and this is the second ever cardiac arrest on the field. Like it's absolutely a tragedy and I feel for Damar and his family and his teammates. But like, the Bengals think they're not gonna play next week? What's the difference between week 18 and the first playoff game? Or week 1 next year?

It just is a little confusing to me.

Well Harlan is basically the #3 team. CBS only has five games this weekend, and two of them (Colts/Texans and Chargers/Broncos) basically don't matter.
Nantz/Romo would I assume 1000% be at the Patriots/Bills game, since its far and away the most impactful game AND, of course, plays to the story of the week.
Other game of somewhat meaning is Browns/Steelers. So Ravens get either Harlan/Green or Eagle/Davis. From CBS's perspective probably isn't too much difference in those crews.

Can't put a time on the mental toll that takes. As I was saying earlier in this thread, it's dangerous for guys to go out there if their heads aren't in it.

I mean the you get into this weird situation where you have to quantify mental toll. Do players that aren't on the Bengals and Bills have to play even though they may be feeling things equally or more intensely? It's unprecedented and I guess I get that

Agree. Understanding the complexities and feelings, but life still has to move forward.
I asked this earlier in the week, but I would imagine the Bills or Bengals opting not to play would pretty much have to result in a forfeit on their parts. There's just really nothing else the NFL can do. There's ways to reschedule a single game if needed, but there aren't ways to do two games. If this happened in week 3, sure, it's a discussion, but it didn't.

If there's individual players who don't feel like they can play, so be it. They can be inactive or not suit up. That's just life.

I honestly don't understand what you're saying. I'm sorry
He's saying if you ask football players whether they want to play this weekend (especially asking Bengals or Bills players), the public thinks its "insensitive" to say you do, because you're supposed to be in mourning basically.

I never had much respect for the general public's "selective morality" they apply on a daily basis, but it was amplified just how pathetic a lot of people are during this process. Spending too much time playing "moral cops" on social media, because the NFL took an hour longer than some schmuck on Twitter arbitrarily thought to decide to postpone the game.

O and the roasting of Skip Bayless, who had the balls to say what millions of people were thinking, but didn't have the balls to say themselves. And then developed the balls 24 hours later, when nothing had changed.

Yeah we see things similarly

And I'm fine with that. Provided those players and teams know that the show will go on, and it'll likely be a forfeit. If they don't want to play, don't play. Just don't expect to cash in a "we want to play now" ticket later.
