We just completely took advantage of the Mets last night. Couple hustle plays to keep the bottom of the 6th and 7th going beating out singles and the next thing you know it's a football score. I think they stole a half dozen bases in those two innings. Unreal.
Also, something I love to see is good base running. When you've made good contact and the ball and the pursuit of it is in your vision the whole time you are on the right side of the field, going to first and proceeding to second, and you can get on your horse to stretch a single into a double, you should. Twice last night, Gunnar later - whose really starting to make great contact, and I think Adley both did this. Westburg scoring from first was running on the pitch. Urias, did it too later when he scored from first with that close play that was reviewed and upheld as safe - ran thru the STOP, lol. Best base running of the year. I don't know whether the Mets were slow playing batted balls or what, but the Orioles seemed just zoned in on the bases.
The DEF and pitching were also excellent. Great game.
