The 2023 Offseason Thread

The rest of the NFL seem to be standing aside and letting the Ravens make a deal with Lamar, so it seems like that's going to happen. I love collusion.

If they are standing aside, it will probably only affect the Ravens Free Agency and everything else will go ahead as normal.

Two minute mark is where I think he makes good points. Its essentially this... teams don't want to do the Ravens work for them. They don't want to come out, structure a deal, only for the Ravens to say "thanks, we'll take it from here".

They don't want to do all the work of structuring deals, planning their cap/roster situations, just for another team to take their deal instead.

It is, in some ways, very unique. Different than Watson, who was traded with an existing deal.

Adam probably hit the nail on the head.

After Adam got caught kissing cheeks, I take whatever he says with a grain of salt. Ian better!

Yeah, but that still don't negate the fact that he made a good point as to why these teams aren't as "interested." Now these teams can say that shit now, but we'll see what happens when the legal tampering commences.

Greg Lewis new WRs coach

im hoping Keith Williams remains as a pass game specialist
sounds like they'd like to keep James Urban but not sure what sort of role he'd meaningfully be keeping here unless he's given a pass/run-game coordinator type title but that doesnt seem like it's obviously in the works right now

quite a staff they're building

Is Lewis a good hire?

I don't think it's a bad hire. Probably gives The Ravens wide receiver room a coach that's more relatable since he has played wide receiver at The NFL level before. Was basically Tyreek Hill's WR coach for most of his playing career with The Chief's.

Here's video of him but it was when he was a coach in college. Seems pretty cool to me. Hope he can work well with Keith Williams if that's the plan.

How active are we feeling for the Ravens during free agency? My bold prediction : Jacoby Meyers is a Raven, Hopkins is a Raven, Queen is traded. Lamar settles down, eats some humble pie, signs long term deal

How about Lamar signs, we retain Campbell, Houston, and Peters and we get Robert Woods lol
