The 2023 Offseason Thread

I wouldn't say its empty. They've made investments. Depending on how they view Hamilton, they've got a starting group that is competitive in the league. They're just lacking proven depth. There's just a lot of mid-round picks that are the depth.

It's just easily the weakest CB room we've had in probably five years. I suspect the secondaries primary focus is going to be a lot more zone and Cover 2-3 looks, and just avoiding giving up big plays, which was a problem last year. Theoretically, with the Safety group we have, that shouldn't be a problem.
I don't know you can say that if you take into account our Hamilton and Williams. When referring to CB's that is absolutely correct. I happened to like JAD coming out of the draft, but he had limited playing time in zone in college, so I wasn't surprised he had troubles last year. If he steps up that would be huge.

Not signing Marcus was actually brain dead. Especially considering Rock is made of glass. Now he's hurt (supposedly not seriously). He's not going to play 16 games. Get ready for JAD and KBK. Realistically we should be bringing AA in. Or we have to have some faith in guys like Mullen or Worley.

Harbaugh’s ego strikes again

I'm actually super excited for Sala. Even if he's not amazing this year, the dude primarily played OT and on the right side. For him to have come in and been able to out compete Simpson and Cleveland so far as a rookie, in a totally new offense, at a totally foreign position, I think he probably has a bright future

Wonder if Forbes was there, would we went for flowers still. I know edc really liked Forbes

This page is getting every rookie fitted for a gold jacket. With all the negativity out there I get it, but everyone I've seen them speak on is allegedly killing their camp.

He’s definitely a fun project. Sounds like he’s had his share of struggles but that should be no surprise based on the tape. Good news is that he has all of the intangibles. Reset those mechanics and you’ve got the potential for something good. Not an easy task but something fun for Joe D.
