2023 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Also one other thing as SoF is being readied... please check your draft picks and let me know if you see anything missing from your team (other than comps since those aren't official yet). I haven't had a chance to cross-reference yet. I'm a stickler for team's getting their correct picks and making sure we have no confusion, so any help is appreciated.
I don't care so much about my teams, I have so little picks

Good lord. Seeing that official -52 stars cap space to start with for the Saints. It’s fine. I’m fine. We’re all fine.

I mean I only had one other choice

Was partially to have some fun just to see what I can do, and also partially some support for my guy mania who got stuck with the Packers and their cap hell last year

But -52…
Hey, you could have gotten the Bucs!

Bucs are over the cap by 57.5M... -57.5 stars lol. So @Simba you don't have the absolute worst situation
So you'd think... I was doing the math on the Buccaneers and there's a damn good chance they can get under the cap without needing any special moves. They at least structured contracts to where they can get out of them.

The Saints are just a dearth of kicked the can down the road contracts that would cost more to get rid of them.

So how in the hell are they going to get above the cap in real life? Or do they have to take one of those years off and not be able to play this year

Gonna do what they've been doing the last several years - restructuring deals and putting themselves in even further cap hell with the expectation that the cap will continue to rise and eventually they'll just have to suck it up and pay a shit ton of money to guys not on their roster any longer.
