It will be explained better in the first post of the FA thread when it comes up at 7, but yes, for this round the minimum bid is 12
 
Just like in real free agency, the more expensive players go first and as the free agency periods go on the minimum bid reduces.

Yes but you don't have to start at 12. If you're willing to pay 20 stars for Kyle Boller, it's advised that you bid close to 20 off the bat so you can win the player early.

but if you want to bid 1 star for him, then wait for the final round. That's what I'd recommend...
 
Basically trying to get rid of all the tiddlywinks games where someone bids 1 star on Jerry Rice knowing damn well you ain't winning Jerry Rice for that.

See, I know you bid 10 Stars on him. And it shows commitment. Obviously you want him as much as I do. But I'm going to massively up that to 10.5 Stars and there's absolutely no way that we get involved in peeing races for next hour and a half, only to drive both of us out of the price range.

Like how this is starting so far. Reminder that there is no end date/time. You win the player if you hold the high bid 24 hours from the timestamp. Again, not going to tell anyone how to bid, but it behooves you to get in early.
