(Never) Too Early Prospect Watch

would you say his best position is a 4-3 de then or is he a legit 5tech or 3-4 olb?
Given his frame people tend to label him a 4-3 end but he plays a lot from the stand up position and he looks OK in space, so I'd say he can definitely be an OLB. He has a nice array of pass rush moves and his first step and bend are underrated. As stated above it would not be a bad idea to kick him at 5tech on some downs.
If you want to have a better idea of his style without watching, think of a stronger Derek Barnett

does he bend that well?

does he bend that well?
It's not as flashy as Barnett, he doesn't get as low, but he converts speed to power exceptionnally well which helps him turn the corner with a smaller angle. The bend is not as good but the outside rush is overall equally effective.

No, that would be blasphemy

He has the bend to get around the edge, like you said thanks to his speed to power conversion and ability to detach using a combination of inertia and hands, but I just really like his ability to take blockers head on and win with power and physicality and then finish with closing speed. I love the way he bursts away after disengaging and I think he's at his best with a straighter path to the qb rather than bending his whole way there.

Chubb's game is predicated by power. He is so powerful it makes everything work better. He isn't the most bendy but he just pushes on the OT's outside shoulder and just like that he's on the QB.
When bullrushing he forces the QB to step up or back and then disengage (usually swim) to finish.
When the OT over commits he aims for the inside shoulder.
He never goes untouched but he finds the soft spot and gets great leverage then bullies his way to the QB.

And that's exactly my point lol which is why I like better head up on the OT rather than being a wide rush. He may be a little undersized for 5T but I'm not sure he has the explosion and bend for full time wide edge rusher, even though his bend and explosion is solid. It's easier for him to find soft spots on the OT when he gets to work either shoulder without having to break stride or drastically change direction.

Ade Aruna from Tulane is an interesting prospect, I think he has diverse potential and a high ceiling as a day 2 pick. Chubb is a better compliment to the rush talent we have but might go early.

Ah, kay. Wasn't sure. I think he's taylor made for an elephant role.
