(Never) Too Early Prospect Watch

I guess I'm a little impatient. I'll try to let the college season play out before asking too many questions.

it's sometimes hard to know who i should be watching when i just turn on the CFB on a saturday - so it's good to know who to look out for in terms of potential first 2 day talents before watching the game because according to every announcer in CFB ever player is unbelievable and makes nfl-type plays all the damn time...

That's true.

I don't usually have time to watch college games, though, so I'll just look for the guys mentioned here on draftbreakdown or youtube.

They're great but it's nice to relax and settle in with HD coverage and a full idea of love game situations etc and keeping half an eye on potential prospects of interest - of course actual tape watching (or as best as us fans can do) is a draftbreakdown thing but I don't normally start that until the Ravens stop playing meaningful games

I forgot to mention this but Malik Jefferson finally showed what hes capable of vs USC. Hes always had great traits and athletic ability but never fully put it all together. Tom Herman could be the difference. Will have to wait and see if he keeps it up

I'll see if I can catch a game this weekend.

It's not that you're asking too many questions, it's just that I don't have definite answers to give you. I'm kind of worried that outside of Price and Nelson there doesn't seem to be anyone. I've watched Martez Ivey and he looked underwhelming for example.

Oh yeah, no worries, I'll just give people some time to look at players before I ask.

Great part about college ball this year is we can concentrate on skill positions.

Hopefully oline first though

Ehhhh id say oline is most important. But we def need a running back and reciever. Hopefully one with return skills

Agree with you both. Should have said offense as a whole with the possibility of losing both Hurst and Jensen to FA and Yanda getting up in years but it'd be nice to get a workhorse back and I think we need a QB too.

Mostly I'm like this as well with tape. Unfortunately, I was able to start really early in the 2015 season due to the really bad start. Last year I didn't start until January and this year I've watched a select few players.

I'm hoping purple flock can continue the Forum Mock, because it was a great game to have the fan thinking more like a GM. Think you played it @rossihunter2.

haha i didnt play but i lurked all over the draft process

Jaylen Samuels from NC state is an interesting prospect. They use him all over the feild. He has like 36 touchdowns and its half recieving half rushing. Having a good game so far vs FSU

It is tho. Us armchair scouts don't have our necks on the line and we need playmakers.

I don't know that it's in me to turn down a better player just to go for an offensive "playmaker" - I hate the idea of reaching so I'll find it impossible to focus on just wrs etc.

I just like watching where the ball is at rossi lol but if its close on the ratings board I may reach.

So, do we start looking seriously at the QBs?

i dunno... and i never thought id say that this year - maybe not a 1st round guy but we need someone to at least push flacco
i still think oline is the way we have to go but my god i feel awful and a little hopeless after today
