The Good, the Bad, and The Ravens

Should we not be in the playoff hunt and a playoff team loses their starting QB to an injury, I could easily see us trading Flacco for a a draft pick.

I'm not sure what the financial implications would be for the playoff team though. Maybe it would not work .

Can you even trade that late in the season? I dont know the details
The trade deadline is tomorrow at 4PM. I don't think trades are allowed after that ... unlike baseball where there are still trades after their deadline, but with restrictions (that basically keep any significant trades from happening).

So - unless we decide we're not a playoff team before tomorrow at 4 PM (which is not likely) Flacco is here for at least the rest of the season.

I don’t think Harbaugh is gone even after this year. I really think he’ll stick around a bit longer
Then you must think that we're going to go 6-2 to finish this season, because unless we do that, we don't make the playoffs and if we don't make the playoffs, John is gone and Flacco will be gone with him.

It’s hard to say what the future is honestly at this point. Humphrey is hurt and I think that has really hurt us with Jimmy coming off his injury and suspension. I also think we’ve been out coached on a number of occasions but that happens. I think Steve would say “even the Patriots started off bad” and I as a fan would rebuke and say they got their act together but you have to avoid looking at the season in a microcosm or a game or two. I think we will sweep the remainder of our games in the division, putting us at 7-4, and I think we’ll take some more games and expect us to be at least 9-7 or 10-6 and then we have a good shot at the playoffs. Anything can happen and anyone can get hurt even on those teams we play. Maybe Mahomes breaks his hand and can’t play us and we steal a win against KC or Reid somehow becomes Reid.

I just think Steve has given John the benefit of the doubt and that's over. He basically came out and said he considered letting him go this past offseason and while he also said there was no "playoff or bust" ultimatum (he didn't want to put himself in a box) I think in the end it is absolutely make or break for John this year.

In the end it will come down to whether or not Steve feels we need a change to shake things up. I think he'll assess his view of team talent vs. team performance and make the call. If the season ended today, Harbaugh would be gone. Lucky for him, it doesn't end today. But to achieve what I believe needs to be achieved to avoid the ax - if not a long shot, is definitely below the 50-50.

Honestly - I am not hoping he gets fired - because he won't if we make the playoffs and make a nice run. That's still what I want.

Yeah we can agree it’ll be an end of year decision. I think Steve will look at the whole picture and I still expect this team to be competitive, and in the NFL that usually means a chance to win. Dominant? Nope definitely not but there aren’t many of those teams out there. I am on the fence on whether I want him gone if I’m being honest. I wonder if there’s an upgrade out there and I also wonder what the real problem is. I’m almost tempted to want to see him with Eric before I decide he’s the problem; however, Steve has info I don’t so maybe his decision is easier

Steelers week 9 2016 to answer the question.
He said aside from the Steelers because those are always a crapshoot no matter how bad either side is doing (I'd forgotten we got swept by them last year. Jesus). The most recent I could find was that TNF beatdown of the Dolphins in week 13 of 2016.

For some perspective the Jags finished that season 3-13.

You’re right. That was the last non-PIT playoff team we beat

Wrong seasons. That was last year and they missed playoffs.

September 28, 2014. Beat the Panthers since we're not counting Steelers.. who we knocked out the playoffs that year.

You're right. Was the Dolphins in 16 @Inqui
