Next Up: Vs. Steelers

Decosta does the board rankings I believe and he absolutely has a say, don't get me wrong but Ozzie does have the final say and he calls the shots come draft day.

decosta runs the draft and has done for a couple of years but ozzie as he always has done has been in charge of everything in personnel terms and as such has final say over every pick/strategy/trade deal etc.

In terms of making the picks, I think that's Ozzie's call which was my point. I do believe that Decosta is heavily involved in terms of running it and the rankings but I don't think he makes the picks or how the proccess goes down in the end.

i mean to be fair on draft day there's not a huge amount for those guys to do necessarily except work out trade values etc. and adjust the board post-picks - for the mostpart they take the BPA on the board

this most recent draft was probably the one that had the most work for any of them to do with all the trades lol

Right, but the mantra is generally BPA at a position of need (although, I'm starting to doubt the BPA strategy with some of these picks...), so that would seem to mean Ozzie defaults to the research and work that DeCosta did.

Either they just have no idea how to scout in the mid rounds or they don’t go bpa at all lol

Earlier on this thread there was a discussion that we can't beat playoff teams.
LaCanfora published an article yesterday. We all know him well and some of his reports are questionable, but this paragraph sums it up perfectly: "Since 2013 the Ravens are 7-25 against teams that went on to the reach the playoffs that season. They are currently 1-4 against teams that would be in the 2018 postseason were it to start today"

and most of those playoff team wins were against the steelers

Zrebiec:

Three Ravens return to practice: CB Marlon Humphrey (thigh), LG ALex Lewis (neck) and C/G Bradley Bozeman (calf)

Not practicing for Ravens: RB Alex Collins (foot), LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), RT James Hurst (back), S Tony Jefferson (hamstring), OLB Tim Williams (ankle) and MLB C.J. Mosley (thigh). Collins was limited yesterday.

That’s great and also sucks. Glad to see Marlon back but Stanley? Please let him be OK. We can’t be without that guy

This will be the game in which Lamar and Buck fool the Pittsburgh D with a fake hand-off, pull DB in on the run and then our sideline statue catches a TD pass.

You heard it here first.
