The Defence, The Passing Game and Closing it Out @ the Bengals

Roquan was the best thing to ever happen to Queen. Feels like the pressure is finally off and he’s playing his best ball. Absolutely flying sideline to sideline without hesitation which is a complete departure from being “the guy” in the middle.

Ardarius is a great little player but he is very little. To be fair to him Tee Higgins lining up in the slot is probably his worst possible match up.

There might be a case for Washington and Hamilton swapping roles when they line up some giant in the slot.
probably would have happened that way if Marcus Williams was playing

As much as I doubt we would be able to find a way to keep them together, I certainly wouldn't mind it. We just need conserve how much we are spending at certain position groups and we need another top CB, which will most likely be a draft pick.

Slot CB is probably gonna be the weakest spot on the D all year. Unless you think Pepe is gonna come back and be something (which I don't)

Depends. We know Marlon and Hamilton can both play there and do it extremely well. If RYS, Stephens, and Darby can be competent outside, you can start to create more of a rotation inside. I think you’d have seen a lot more Hamilton inside today if Williams wasn’t hurt.

Pepe wouldnt have done any better against Higgins in the slot like that. Its just a mismatch. Either Hamilton matches up, or Marlo switch to him when hes back

Darby got the same treatment from Higgins too. He's just too big for most corners. Burrow with a bit of time to Higgins is always going to be good for a few completions - it's pretty hard to stop.

I honestly think Higgins is their WR1. Be foolish to let him walk to sign Chase

It is wild that Chase got clamped by Brandon Stephens today. I like him more than most and even I didn’t expect that.

Stephens will hardly make the "wow" plays, but he'll always be in the fight at least.

Gotta respect it

People are going to look at the box score and think the Bengals got their offense back on track , but they still looked bad. Even more so considering our injuries. I wonder what the hell is going on over there

Chase was also clamped by the Browns CBs last week. I think there's something going on in Cincy. If you read what they say, they claim for a few years now the offensive philosophy is garbage

They seem to be slow starters. Turned things around last season also

You can tell Burrow still not healthy. I wasn't too worried about this game because of that.
